Description

Caring for a small animal is an amazing experience that encourages empathy, care and responsibility. You're babies will love the ample access that our coop gives, while also protecting your small animals and giving them a sense of security when they are put away. This is my first chicken coop. I was surprised at how easy it was to assemble! I love that if I want I can get a second one to double the space for the chicks. 100% satisfied. Easy to assemble. Great job on the design. Two of us put this together in less than 30 minutes. All the holes are pre-drilled. They are also pegged in the most important parts. There are written instructions and pictures. The max chickens for this would be 4. Preferably 3 grown hens. I am buying a second to put inside my greenhouse for winter. I am using little giant hanging water feeders for the inside so they don't take up too much of space. This is a great bargain, easy to use, and beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased! This is a very functional coop and well thought out. The pieces fit together well and it very nice looking! The asphalt roof is a lovely grey which matches the paint. The hardware is better on this coop than others out there, especially as it has the cool feature of being mobile. This is my first review, ever, but I couldn't resist, as I am a fan of Aivituvin! I have gotten so many neighbors and people off the street complimenting on how nice this coop looks. It came in 2 boxes and was easy for me to assemble by myself but you need 2 people to move it. I added the extension so it cannot be used as a chicken tractor. In order to make it predator proof I added cinder blocks and patio pavers around it. We have been using this for 3 months now and it has been great for our 4 chickens. Can't wait to put our little chicken in their new cage!! It is so cute, we got two coops to connect them together.:) AIR45 AIR101 AIR69 AIR17 AIR59 AIR60 AIR29 The lovers of owner start with the name of ‘VI’, ‘AIVITUVIN’ , its a meaningful name which says love the lovers and also to win the pets’ heart. • Well built, easy to assemble
Pattern Name: AIR45
Great product!! Easy to assemble, real shingle-like material on roof, roomy and includes multiple latches. There are 4 laying areas, roasting bars and a large fenced in area. Many entry points to retrieve eggs, lock the hen house, and let chickens out to free range. Very sturdy hen house, with flexible guards to keep rain out. Removable tray to easily clean the bottom of hen house. Fencing is good for protection but is a little less sturdy when moving - will take to people to move it around the yard, to keep the fencing squared but it is not heavy. I would definitely recommend this product! We also have the pin for 2 to 3 chickens from the same company. Also extremely well-built but with a smaller caged area. ... show more

  • Do yourself a favor and put on different wheels
This coop is pretty good for someone starting out with just 3 or 4 chickens (I'd say 4 max). I found it easy to assemble but made one adjustment...the wheels. The ones that come with the coop are far too small and make moving it almost impossible over anything but a completely smooth surface, and that's not where your chickens will be. We put on 7" rubber wheels like something that you would find on a garden cart or wheel barrow, its still not "easy" to move, but with these wheels I (a person of average strength at best) can move it. It feels rather heavy and takes all my strength but I can move it. With the old wheels there would be no way. Right now this coop is good but I can already see that it will need some winterizing. There are open gaps larger than I would like where all the doors to the hen house close and where the tray inserts. In the winter they will definitely let in a draft but I think it's a fixable problem. We've also had issues with the hens sleeping (and pooping) in the nesting boxes. My best guess is that with all mobile coops I've seen the roosts and nesting boxes are at basically the same height so they don't realize they should roost, but this is just an educated guess. I am going to try blocking the nesting boxes off at night so they can only access them during the day. I've also considered moving the roosts up since it seems like there is enough room in the hen house to move them up several inches without crowding the chickens heads at the top. On a side note, after using a plastic bristle scrub brush to clean it I found that the paint on the wooden parts comes off. Since you're not scrubbing the whole thing you should only lost paint where they may make a mess like the ramp and the edge of the tray. ... show more

  • Nice chicken coop! Nice chicken coop!
Pattern Name: AIR45
Overall, great chicken coop!! Be careful when fastening the screws, the wood can split easily if your not careful. It might also need another application of a better weather treatment on the wood, but otherwise I am happy with it!

  • Cheaply Made Cheaply Made
Pattern Name: AIR45
This coop has 4 nesting boxes and has an attached run. Wherever you place it is probably going to be where you keep it permanently because it is pretty awkwardly shaped after it has been put together. The coop and run came in pieces in two separate boxes and has to be put together, however, some of the pieces came in scratched or damaged. The dividers for the nesting boxes is just a partition that you place in between some slots and doesn’t seem very sturdy; it holds up though. The latch that connects the roof to the main compartment of the coop has already broken on one side already and it has been less than two weeks since we built it; the wood that you screw the hinges into just isn’t strong enough to hold the screws in. We have only opened the roof/utilized the hinges maybe 3-5 times. It’s a great concept but the product needs to be made of thicker wood for the screws to stay in place. The run really isn’t that big and I only have 3 chickens in it currently. If you have the space for them to free roam then it’s not so bad. It’s not a covered run, so that’s unfortunate… the only shade they would get in the run is wherever shade you place them in when you put together the whole thing. Side note: You screw the run to the coop when you build it according to the instructions. The run opens up at the top from one of the middle panels as well as at the end… you can lock the panel that opens at the end however the panel that opens in the middle does not have any locking mechanism. Potentially can be opened freely by any predators. The panels on my run have shifted due to weather since being put together though and it has made it more difficult to open the top middle panel unless if you pry it open from both opposing sides. I don’t know if this makes me feel safer or not since it can still be opened, just not as easily. You would also think that the roofing design allows for the inside of the coop to stay dry, but I have noticed the inside (minus the nesting boxes) gets wets still. The roosting bars don’t allow for roosting to occur either, it’s about a 1”-2” gap from the base of the coop. Overall, this coop and run combo isn’t a good option as a permanent residence for chickens but it does work for something short term. This would probably be better for other small breeds. ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money
Pattern Name: AIR59
Update #1 - using this for 2 weeks and it’s already falling apart. Door came undone, handle fell off, lid for the nesting boxes is stuck and won’t open, roof not sitting right, bottom area that can get pulled out to clean now comes out crooked and is hard to push back in. Everything is fall apart. Update #2 - they refuse to refund me. They told me “ How do you want to fix with a finish nail gun or epoxy if you think it will not affect the everyday use? And of course, we are pleased to provide you a partial refund of $20”…. $20 isn’t even close to partial. Amazon also refused to do an A-Z refund because of the seller refusing to issue more than $20. Amazon and these sellers are seriously going downhill. Opened the box and there were many pieces broken off. The piece of wood that stops the door from going inward was only attached by 1 nail, so they didn’t even completely build it together before shipping. There are gaps where you can see the light through, it’s flimsy and not secure. Definitely not one you would want out in the open as predators can easily get in. ... show more

  • very cheaply built, with design and manufacturing flaws
Yes, I know, you get what you pay for. This is a very low quality, cheap coop that might last the summer. The wood is very flimsy. There are obvious cracks that appear to have had some glue applied during manufacture -- the stain around some areas is darker and blotchy. It arrived with some minor damage to bits of the wood pieces. I don't think it was packed as well as it could have been. The removable tray is only held up by a railing on one side -- I suspect that a heavy chicken standing in the unsupported corner could bend the tray. I am going to have to screw on a bit of wood to serve as a support for that corner. Surprisingly, the assembly directions are quite good. It was useful to have two helpers at the very beginning just to hold panels in place while screwing, but I think overall it would not have been hard to assemble with two people. You'll need at least a philips screwdriver -- an electric screwdriver would be helpful, but be sure to dial back the clutch or you'll break the wood when screwing it together. I had to remove what appeared to be extra, misapplied rails in the nesting box. (The inside of parts Q and P.) These parts were preventing the nesting box from mating to the coop properly. The drill holes on the spring latch for the bottom door below the coop is a bit too wide for the wood that is there to screw into. I pre-drilled a hole very close to the edge of the wood and managed to avoid splitting. The wheels aren't worth much -- I would definitely recommend moving this carefully, with one person at each end of it to lift and gently move it. It isn't heavy. ... show more

  • Cute, small, perfect for extra outdoor coop
I like the design, it has a higher pen and wanted to put a roost/perch in there. I used the handle (included) instead of putting outside, I put it inside the pen. it fit nicely, and I secured it with a screw, and rubber washers. I wanted this small pen to separate a bird if needed for recuperation. This is too small to house more than 2 birds completely, unless a very small bird. But for what I needed, its a nice addition for my other larger Coops. When not in use to keep a sick bird isolated, I open the door, so as my free rangers can explore. As we know with pecking order, not all my hens get along together, and it is a nice "guest house" for quiet time to get away and lay an egg. I didn't have any issues with putting it together, and I did it by myself, with no help. Again, its just so CUTE!! ... show more

  • Cute Little Coop
Pattern Name: AIR59
It arrived early and although it said it took two people one hour to assemble, I was able to put it together myself in about 2 1/2 hours. (I'm a 57 year old woman of medium build.) It was fairly easy except a couple of holes that were supposed to have been drilled didn't go all the way through, but that was easily taken care of with a power drill. It has great ventilation. The locks weren't really secure, but the coop is in a fairly secure pen, so that's not a concern for me. I spent a lot of time looking over models and reviews and I discovered to get a top-notch coop you have to spend a lot more money than I was willing to. For what I paid for this one, I have a cozy little home for my four phoenix chickens with room for a few more. ... show more
