  • great little chicken house
Pattern Name: AIR23
We love this chicken house! Easy to care for and chickens are safe.

  • Beginner Ready
Pattern Name: AIR46
It’s a good starter. Me my wife and kids all worked on it. It is flimsy so what I did was I built it on a 4x4 runner so I can drag it around the yard or move it for whatever reason because once you build it you’re not moving it. Definitely needs to be painted but that’s common sense. Overall as a beginner I would recommend. Price isn’t bad compared to others that are more expensive and way smaller. ... show more

  • Nice Coop for the Money.
Pattern Name: AIR59
My son and I put this chicken coop together in roughly an hour. It went together easily and the instructions were clear enough to understand assembly. Upon final assembly, I elected to place pavers under the coops feet to prevent it from sitting directly on the ground and rotting from moisture. My chickens seem to love this coop and go inside to lay their eggs. ... show more

  • Horrible quality
Pattern Name: AIR46
AR-46 I don’t think it’s available anymore. Do not buy this coop the wood is extremely soft and should not sit on the ground or be out in the weather. Even weather proof-ing it I doubt it will last longer than 1 year. It’s extremely flimsy and any predator can easily get through the wiring (it’s very loose and not stabilized in long sections). One good push or digging from a fox and your chicks are gone. You will have to add additional framing for security. Weather proofing everywhere. Just don’t do it. ... show more

  • Better for banties or small chicks.
Pattern Name: AIR23
It's very small. OK, I knew it was going to be small, but if you want to be able to reach the eggs, you should either place this on top of a table, a couple of pallets, or have some short neighbor children get your eggs for you. It did go together fairly easily. I would recommend these for raising chicks, with a slight modification for the little ones to not get caught up on the interior. Full size hens, it's a bit cramped. My main issue is that I ordered two of them. I could not order two of them at the same time. I had to place two separate orders and as a result, I had to pay the 70 dollars shipping, twice. I think this is just a revenue issue and the company makes a bit more on shipping. ... show more

  • Worked so well I have 2
Good coops. Easy to assemble. Not perfect but they work well. The bottom pull out for cleaning does not work well so I just shovel out from the big side door. Rain will leak into the bottom of the side door so I now have a piece of plywood leaning against the coops which works well. I also placed a piece of plywood over the top of the run so they have a covered area. I use furring strips to screw plastic to the sides of the run in winter (northern WI) which keeps them cozy. Buried hardware cloth around the sides to keep out predators. I made a larger run for daytime then lock the doors of the secure little run at night. Easily fits 10+ birds with a large feeder on the inside. I do not place a heater in the winter and they do just fine. 2+ years of use and it’s still holding up well. Not the greatest construction (thin walls) but works fine. It is nice to have 2 as I can separate birds if needed as I do when I introduce new baby chicks. ... show more

  • easy assembly due to low quality.
Pattern Name: AIR69
as a child who remembers the balsam wood air gliders? This Is what the coop Is made of. You must be very careful when using the screws provided. Tighten a little too much and the wood will split. The wood is soo cheap I actually put caulk over the screw heads to prevent any water getting In. I have only had this covered coop for a year and within months I was having to make minor repairs due to the wood cracking and tearing away. Latest man fix IS the brooder box that my 5 hens prefer, will not sustain their weight. It is breaking away from the main structure. No way to repair it so I simply put a support under it to stop any further damage. The roosting bars are soo low is probably the reason they will not sleep inside at night. They sit on top of the roof. Maybe my hens are resilient just hate this Coop but at 5 Deg F they prefer sleep on top than sleep inside this half shod. I lost my money on this one ... show more
