  • Nice for the chickens
Size: 127.4 Square Feet Color: Silver
Assembly of the frame was pretty easy. We started by following the instructions but it became clear quickly it was not for the coop we purchased. That being said, it was pretty easy to figure out what went where. Not sure what kind of residual was on the metal frame pieces (kinda greasy) but my hands were black from handling them - easy to wash of though - so make sure to wear gloves. I wish putting the wire on was as easy as the video made it look. That part was tedious and because of the hot temps were we live, it took several days to complete that task. Again, where gloves, long sleeves and long pants - I’ve got scratches up and down my arms and hands. The scratches are not bad but when you have to cut the wire around the door and then zip tie it to the frame I scratched my hands (my gloves made it awkward using the zip ties so I had to take them off. You get plenty of zip ties but they are not very strong so I used some heavy duty ones as well. The wire is pretty sturdy but not like the chicken wire you buy at Tractor Supply or similar stores. I added additional mesh wire with smaller holes along the bottom half for extra security. Where we live we can get high winds and heavy rains so we used a die grinder on the four bottom corner pieces and added T-posts for additional security to stay in one place. ... show more

  • Coop matches photos, instructions for older model
Size: 127.4 Square Feet Color: Silver [Upgraded Version]
I typically read the assembly instruction manual thoroughly and plan my work steps before I start to assemble. I laid out the parts in preparation, but found some parts in the instructions were missing, and others not shown were included. I tried several combinations and finally realized the parts in the box would build the coop pictured in the Amazon listing - NOT the one shown in the instructions in the box. The remaining assembly and attaching the chicken wire went smoothly, but here's 2 tips to make it easier and safer: 1. Easier: leave about 6" excess chicken wire beyond the bottom horizontals at the ground, but don't zip tie the chicken wire there until after you zip tie it at all the sides and top. Then lift 1 side at a time and rest it on sawhorses (or equivalent), and zip tie the chicken wire to the bottom horizontal of the raised side - repeat for the other side. This will avoid you needing to kneel and struggle to reach down and zip tie the chicken wire to the bottom horizontals in the grass or dirt. 2. Optional: (predator proofing very much needed based on our experience) Wrap 1/2" hardware cloth 24-36" wide around entire coop, bent at the ground so it extends out about 8"-1 foot. Cover with 1" crushed rock. Hopefully that will keep predators from digging under bottom horizontals. ... show more

  • Nice!
Size: 63.7 Square Feet Color: Silver
The poles were really easy to assemble and, for the most part, the instructions were easy. I didn't cuss once. Did it by myself. Needed an extra set of hands for the fencing. That part was time consuming, but still relatively easy. The zip ties were smaller than I'm used to, but none of them broke like other have complained. I'm very pleased! UPDATE: Wow, was I wrong about the zip ties. They suck. Absolutely terrible. A danger to what's supposed to be protected inside. I only took away one because it's so cheap and easy to fix. ... show more

  • Awesome for my chickens!
Size: 127.4 Square Feet Color: Silver
Assembly was very tedious but not too difficult. The tarp is great for providing shade throughout the day too. We’ll see how it holds up throughout the winter. I definitely suggest hardware mesh or doubling up on the chicken wire if you’re trying to keep predators out and you animals in. I had to put pea stone and rocks around the perimeter because my chickens like to dig 😂 I have 4 chickens currently and they have plenty of space with their coop inside too. I live within city limits, so they cannot free range, but this is as close as they can get. I’d say there’d be space for 8 chickens. ... show more

  • Works well with planning
Size: 127.4 Square Feet Color: Silver [Upgraded Version]
First let me point out, the build instructions came for the wrong pen. But I'm smart enough to figure it out. Second, plan ahead. I attached the run to 4x4s on the bottom for weight. I added an additional tarp because the summers are brutal in GA. But a corrugated roof will come in time. Also, an additional support beam in the center. Putting it together is easy. Correct instructions would have made it easier. Making it secure requires a little more thought. Still 100% worth the money. If they could sell a larger tarp that's the right size, ideal. ... show more

  • Fair to Midlin
Size: 63.7 Square Feet Color: Green
This is a halfway decent cage, but not one for a rambunctious animal by any means. If you have an overactive animal that bounces around a lot I wouldn't suggest it. This unit is not made to take a lot of jumping on the walls since it is only thin wire held together with plastic tie straps for the most part and some metal straps but very few. I ordered an additional hundred metal heavy duty straps because some of these ships straps broke. I wouldn't suggest using plastic straps against the metal they just break. This is a unit that would not prevent a predator from getting to your animal so don't leave them unattended. It has some shade but there's no protection from rain. The pipes that you have to fit together are tightly fit and sometimes difficult to do so you need to have a little muscle. The structure is unsteady as you put it together so be careful of falling tubes on your head. This is not a one person set up. The wire netting has to be pulled in multiple directions so that it is taunt before strapping down so be prepared by having an extra set of hands. I would suggest that this be set on a concrete surface not ground so that other animals can't dig under it because that can happen easily. ... show more

  • Its simple to put together
Size: 191.1 Square Feet Color: Silver
For what it is and the chicken wire it seems like a good product the door is tricky to wire amd its not a 1 person job

  • Nice coop/run for chickens!
Size: 63.7 Square Feet Color: Silver [Upgraded Version]
This coop/run was very easy to put together. My four chickens love it! Would have given 5 stars but the middle pole for the roof (that would help keep rain running off)was not the correct pole. This is a great coop/run and I would order it again.
