Update: seller contacted me and offered a full refund which given it is outside of warranty is fantastic. As a CSR i truly appreciate good CS experience. They did explain that they have made changes to the design since my purchase, but we are building a much bigger more permanent run for our ladies. One recommendation for either other buyers or even the seller, add a center pole where all the pole meet should drastically up the strength (hindsight). Setting up the metal frame was easy. The chicken wire was difficult to get tight and you need way more zip ties to make secure. Little tarp was ok for the summer but would not be suitable for winter if you get any snow. I’m glad my husband talked me out of putting a bigger tarp on and convinced me to remove the little tarp. After one storm with heavy wet snow the run collapsed in the middle. If the tarps were in it it would have been crushed completely. Once the weather warmed a bit we went out, pushed the center back up and added straps brace the top like collar ties. Well that would’ve probably worked but the center hardware has apparently rusted out completely and snapped. This thing didn’t last 6month and now isn’t salvageable. ... show more

The frame isn't as sturdy as I would like. I knew it came with thin wire so I already purchased some chain link fence to go around the base for my dogs. But still cheaper than most with having to buy the extra fencing. The wire also has to be cut as you put it on the cage and was the hardest part to put on and make it tight. ... show more

The kids and I put this together in about an hour, maybe more. It came with plenty of netting, plenty of zip ties, the tarp seems decent quality. We’re saving the tarp for sun shade, we didn’t want the wind to turn it into a sail and take the whole thing away. We’ve only been using it for a couple weeks. I reinforced it around the opening where we connected it to the coop. One of the discs on the feet was off as soon as we took it out of the package, but that doesn’t seem to matter too much, at least not yet. The anchors go through the disc, but it’s working so far. Overall the entire thing was easy to snap together. Getting the chicken wire in place is the most difficult part of the process but shouldn’t take more than 5 hours with two adults. The hardest part was getting the door and door frame in place.

Everything is in pieces whicis fine. The instructions are great until you get to trying to assemble the door, very little instruction no indication on which braces go where the braces don't always look like the pictures. Gives all the dimensions for the wire to be cut but it comes in one roll not precut no indication of the tools needed and it's pretty shakey. ... show more

A random chicken somehow wandered into my backyard to which I am now the caretaker for. I am not DIY savvy, so I can't create a cheaper chicken coop myself, so this was my only option. I purchased this during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and had it for a month so far. It has been working great to protect the chicken from the weather and predators. Installation was simple and you can easily do this yourself, but having another person to help would make the process even easier. The majority time of the assembly process comes from zip tying everything together. My gripe was that several of the parts were not labeled at all, so it was difficult to tell the pipes apart and many of the screws it came with were rusted. The manual didn't help much when it came to building the door. The door end up not being exactly as intended, but its still functional, just a tad wonky and not super secure. Once assembled, it was easy to move around since its fairly light. I recommend tethering the coop down in case of high winds. The inside of the coop has plenty of space for the chicken to wander around and for 2 people to walk inside. I added another tarp on the roof and the back of the chicken coop along with some thin planks of wood on the side to protect the chicken from heavy winds and rain. Personally, I think the chicken wire should be replaced with something else more sturdy as the one it comes with has large holes where the chicken can stick their head out and might injure themselves. Overall, I think its a great coop for a beginner like me raising a single chicken. Some additional tarp and chicken wire would make it perfect. It probably can house up to 3 chickens comfortably without it being too cramped. ... show more

This is reasonable for the price; does the job. A couple things to know: latch is VERY flimsy and weak, consider buying a better one…..chicken wire is green coated (like ❤️)….takes all day to assemble (2 people)/ not difficult, just time consuming to do it right…..there are gaps, so not completely predator proof/ we will be adding hardware cloth along the bottom and burying 8 inches in ground…..we used a lot more zip ties than what came in packaging/ We will be weaving wire around chicken wire and poles, as the sun is most certainly going to cause zip ties to break. This is a good solution if you don’t have time to build a chicken run, but plan to add other materials to make it more predator proof. ... show more
