This heater works great in my coop. Before I used heat lights but feared the fire they could start. This heats my coop perfectly and is a safe alternative for heat. It's light weight and easy to clean if it gets dusty.

The heater is slim and out of the way so I don't have to worry about my birds banging it around it works pretty well so far and it's pretty simple to set up. My one downside is it doesn't get super hot. It's warm enough to keep my coup above freezing temps, which is what I want, if you're looking for a heater to really warm up your coup I don't v think this is the right one for you. I have a thermometer in there and it seems to keep it 20 or so degrees above the ambient air temp. ... show more

I purchased this chicken coop heater to keep my fermenting cabinet warm, which holds three 20-gallon fermenters, and it has been absolutely perfect for the job! I pair it with an external temperature controller to maintain precise temperatures, and it does a fantastic job of providing gentle, consistent heat without any hot spots. What really impressed me is how safe it is. The heater’s produces plenty of heat, but never at temperatures that could cause hot spots or a fire hazard. This heater has the features I need to feel confident about letting it run around the clock keeping my home brew at the ideal temperature. I got this for our ourside cats and before using it with them I sit in in a small closet. It didnt do a thing, but if you touched it you could feel the heat. We decided to return and try something different.

    • My girls love it
I built a chicken coop with left over pallets and scrap wood. When it got too cold out I put up a heat lamp, but it wasn't cutting it. I purchased this as a secondary heat source. It works as it should and keeps the girls from freezing up here in Northern Maine.
