Does take more assembly than what you might think, but once together it's very sturdy and well made.

    • My chickens seem to like it.
Overall a nice design and my chickens seem to like it and go up and down the ramps easily. It did take my husband and I about 2.5 hours to put it together not 1 hour. The wood is a little soft and I am concerned about wear overtime but will see how it goes. I do think that cleaning the inside ramps may prove difficult overtime as they are hard to reach and I am a stickler for cleaning surfaces for chickens health. I do wish the bottom of the coop was the same size as the top with the nesting boxes, but I knew it wasn’t when I bought it and as I put it inside a 10x10 foot larger run so it wasn’t critical for me. Despite 4 nesting boxes I probably wouldn’t keep more than 3 chickens in the coop if it wasn’t for the larger run I am using. ... show more

This arrives in two boxes. It folds open into an upper and lower level. The instructions were precise, with extra hardware in case you drop a screw. We assembled it in one hour with a battery powered screwdriver as the only tool. This is a good value for the price. The coop is well thought out, well constructed, with pre drilled holes. This is not strong enough to protect your chickens from predators. My coop is inside a predator proof pen. ... show more

It’s the second I’ve purchased and I think it’s a great product. Compared to the one from last year there’s more hardware in the way of braces which makes me wonder if my old one is unstable. I didn’t do 5 stars bc here are a couple annoying QA/QC issues like a staple (photo) that was turned and gave me a nice gash. Also the roosting bars are too short and don’t sit in their slots. Not a big deal as you learn to improvise quickly if you have chickens. WOULD DEFINITELY BUY AGAIN ... show more

My chickens love it! There's enough room for at least 4 - 6 (no more than 6) medium-sized chickens. I like the convince of the fold-out structure with some minor work here and there. It is sturdy and allows for the chickens to come and go from top to bottom and vise versa. I am trying to figure out where to put their coop panel heater at though. For additional safety, I put a 6 ft x 11 ft complete chicken wire fenced area around it to make sure they feel safe to roam outside of the coop as my neighbors have unpredictable dogs. ... show more
