I got this chicken coop cover to replace a deteriorating Omlet Eglu chicken run cover that I got from the Omlet company. The original product just did not hold up to the sun here in the south. The new cover was plenty long enough to give a good cover for the run and there plenty of grommets to secure the cover to the wire panels with the included ball bungee cords. It seems very sturdy material that should hold up well to weather and sun. Very pleased with the product and the chickens really love the shade in the middle of the day.

We’re using this as a top cover on a temporary coop setup where we’re keeping our chicks, and it’s been working great so far. Mostly, it’s helping block the Texas sun and keep things cooler during the day. The shade makes a noticeable difference inside the run. It’s also handled the occasional rain just fine, nothing heavy yet, but enough to know it keeps the area underneath mostly dry. The material feels tough, and the included bungee cords make installation quick and secure. Just remember, this is just the tarp, not a full coop or frame, so you’ll need to have your own structure ready. But if you’re looking for something to cut the heat and offer some light weather protection, this gets the job done. Our chicks are definitely better off with it.

We got this to create more shade for our baby goats during the hot summer days. Works amazing and stretches super tight. It wasn’t the exact size I needed to fit over our existing pin, but we got it to work by going long ways over the short width area of the existing pin. Everything you need is included. Very high quality tarp material.

This waterproof and weather resistant coop tarp is made in a woven style plastic, very much like the reusable shopping bags. It claims to be Heavy Duty but it seems too thin to be considered Heavy Duty. The edges are folded over and adhesive sealed. The grommets look like they'll hold up well and they look like aluminum grommets, which won't rust. The bungee straps are basic but I doubt they'll last very long in the sun. I haven't had any small bungee straps like these last very long yet. The silver color of the tarp is perfect for reflecting the sun and should give a longer use than the brown, blue, and black tarps. I've only used this for a month so I won't be able to give a long-term review yet, but so far I don't see that this tarp is anything more worthy than a regular utility tarp.

I was disappointed to see that the tarp was actually plastic and NOT cloth as depicted. We live in Arizona and this "shade" would melt our chickens. Plastic is way to hot in AZ for a tarp.

This is a sturdy tarp with good thickness that seems like it will handle weather for a good number of years. The tarp is roughly the stated size, mine was ~1" shorter than the 135" length, and 2" wider than the 75" length, but that may just be how I stretched out the tarp. It has a matt silver color and appears to be of quality material. I'm happy with this product.

the biggest advantage to me about this “chicken coop” cover is that it is larger than the average tarp. a pretty good bit larger. while im sure itd be great over a large coop, in my case, i needed the large size to cover a shed that from time to time gets large limbs dropped on the roof. Some of these hits create cracks in the corrugated plastic roof- since the shed is under large trees- and this large size allows me to cover the shed, keeping water out, until i can fix the plastic. i believe the thickness is basically the same as most tarps. the silver is the same (though a more muted color might be more handy for being less conspicuous). so the size is is the unique selling point and will function well for my intended use.Please note: I received this item for free through the Amazon Vine program. This review, however, reflects my honest and unbiased personal experience with the product.

We have an old pvc greenhouse on the farm that we use for all kinds of things on the farm. This fits on the existing structure well. The ball bungee cords wrap around the poles well and really keep the cover secure. This keeps a portion of the structure shaded for working underneath. It hasn’t had to withstand any major weather so I don’t know how well it would do so, but it seems pretty durable. Overall we’re happy with this and would buy again. Good value for price.
