Great value. Many of the leaves had holes/perforations from insect damage, but the Kwanzan Cherry Tree was otherwise healthy upon arrival. Per plant experts (found online), I acclimated the tree for about one and a half weeks before planting in the front yard. I also removed encircling roots before planting. Also made sure root flare was visible when planted. The tree was four inches too deep in the 5-gallon pot that it was shipped in, with the root flare buried that deep. So far, the tree seems to be doing well. Just have to control the grasshoppers from eating away the young leaves sprouting from new growth. ... show more

I ordered two trees and both came well packaged and beautiful at first glance but after close inspection I believe both have shot-hole disease. I read it is a common disease and can be caused by either fungus or bacteria and typically goes away on its own in mild cases. Giving 4 stars because of packaging and size of trees. Hoping they survive and thrive despite the disease but if not I’ll come back and edit this review. ... show more

First off, the tree arrived ahead of schedule and was packaged really well. It is a very good size, 5 ft or so. My only complaint is that is has shot hole disease. I hope that after spreating it with fugicide, it will recover. I am pretty bummed that whomever packaged it up didn't pick a non-diseased one. I would absolutely send it back if I wasn't on a deadline for planting it. Unfortunately, there are non locally for me to get at this time.
