So I’ve got to give a honest review because when I researched this reel I found very little information. First the pros. It is very light weight and sharp looking. The EVA knobs feel better then any Winn knobs they offer. The cons to me are… you pay premium for this reel and it seems lews put effort into the material to make it light and forgot about the technology the competitors are offering. To me it’s lacking features that the hypermag have. I personally own a few of both and question why I didn’t just get more hyper mags over custom lites. Also I felt like Lews was going to offer a Shallow spool for this model but instead they just make it in a specialized version “SS” which is the closest that they can get to a bfs. I’ll continue fishin lews baitcasters. Not so much this model or their spinning reels. ... show more

I currently have two of these reels. I do A LOT of inshore salt water fishing is the guys at Lew’s said it was designed with the salt water angler in mind. It will work equally as well in fresh water. At 4.9 ounces and will easily fit in the palm of my hand, I can fish as long as needed with this setup.
