Description

Weighing in at just 4.9 ounces, the Custom Lite SLP baitcast reel is the lightest reel ever produced by Lew’s. The Custom Lite SLP features a proprietary Tanso Tech frame and a titanium, anodized aircraft-grade Duralumin 30mm spool that can pick up 28” of line per handle turn. On the engineering side, this piece of equipment features an 11-bearing system with Lew's P2 Super Pinion, which provides better gear mesh for smoother cranking, longer casts and extended gear life. Matched with the externally adjustable 6-pin, 27-position QuietCast Adjustable Centrifugal Braking (ACB) system, the bowed, lightweight 95mm carbon fiber handle with EVA paddle knobs keeps things light and comfortable while on the water. Very good reel
Style: Right Hand Baitcast Reel
I love this real throws very smoothly it’s very light I love the dragon it is a good fishing reel the only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t take a whole lot of line. But due to the drag level I’m able to bring in pretty good size fish pretty quickly

What your paying the premium for.
Style: Left Hand Baitcast Reel

So I’ve got to give a honest review because when I researched this reel I found very little information. First the pros. It is very light weight and sharp looking. The EVA knobs feel better then any Winn knobs they offer. The cons to me are… you pay premium for this reel and it seems lews put effort into the material to make it light and forgot about the technology the competitors are offering. To me it’s lacking features that the hypermag have. I personally own a few of both and question why I didn’t just get more hyper mags over custom lites. Also I felt like Lews was going to offer a Shallow spool for this model but instead they just make it in a specialized version “SS” which is the closest that they can get to a bfs. I’ll continue fishin lews baitcasters. Not so much this model or their spinning reels. ... show more

Very well designed lews, the tanso tech frame is light and strong and the reel feels well built and is meticulously designed compared to my abu garcia revo gen 4s. Paired it with a cashion element flipping rod and use it for Tiger musky fishing primarily

Absolutely the best fishing reel I’ve ever owned!
Style: Right Hand Baitcast Reel
I currently have two of these reels. I do A LOT of inshore salt water fishing is the guys at Lew’s said it was designed with the salt water angler in mind. It will work equally as well in fresh water. At 4.9 ounces and will easily fit in the palm of my hand, I can fish as long as needed with this setup. Customer service is outstanding as well! ... show more
