TL:DR? This is one of the best air fryers on the market with superior performance and large capacity. The Build: This is a huge fryer. It’s basket can hold up to 3.5L of food and it features a smart system. It has vents on the top and back of the fryer while the body is made with “cool touch” technology which eliminates the body from getting hot enough to burn. That being said, there are still parts on the fryer (namely the vents) which can still get extremely hot, so touching it during use outside of the basket handle and control panel is strongly discouraged. The tray and basket are dishwasher safe and easy to clean by hand if necessary. The control panel will only activate if the tray is fully inserted into the fryer (and it’s plugged in). The temperature and time can be adjusted to whatever the recipe calls for and, for foods that need turning, it will remember those settings even after waking from sleep mode. It has safety features so that the air fryer will only operate if the tray is inserted, this includes when you might need to end a session if the food finishes early. A free recipe book is included with the instruction manual. The Frying: Wow. I honestly don’t know how I’ve every lived with out this. After ordering it, I had already plotted on doing chicken nuggets in it, but had no recipe. To my luck, there was one in the recipe booklet and I had all the ingredients in my pantry (panko bread crumbs, eggs, flour, salt/pepper, chicken). Turning on the air fryer, it was already set to 400 degrees F and 10 minutes, so I didn’t have to adjust anything. At the 5 minute mark, I removed the basket and turned my nuggets and stuck them back in. It chimed (kind of loud/sharply) when finished and I cut into the biggest chunk in there. The nugget was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. It was cooked all the way through and had a light browning on the “crust”/breading. Amazing. I did a second batch right after the first. These got done a minute earlier, but I think was because there were a few pieces (one or two) less chicken AND it was still warm from the first batch. Pulling out the tray and popping it back in several times didn’t confuse the fryer. It still remembered the settings and how much time was left. Getting done earlier, I had to stick the empty tray back in so I could shut it off/clear the settings. I think that might be the only downside of the fryer. We were super impressed by its cooking abilities, the quality of the meat when finished (juicy, tender chicken; crispy, crunchy breading), and the ease in which it took to make it. For those using the recipes, we’ve found that the prep time is way off. It didn’t take 10 minutes to prep the nuggets, more like 30 or 40, so that’s a factor to keep in mind, particularly when cooking for hungry folks and young ones. Give yourself ample time to make it. The quality of the cooking reminded me of something between deep frying and baking. It’s the best of both worlds. +Pros: +Cooks phenomenally in a short amount of time +Recipe book is full of useful and practical dishes (and super yummy too!) +A good deep fry and baking alternative +Safer to use (particularly around little ones) +Smart, adjustable temp and time gauge (it remembers your settings and time left) +Large capacity (3.5 liters) +”Cool touch” body (though it’s still not recommended to touch anyway) +Won’t operate unless basket is in all the way (additional safety feature) -Cons: -Large (can take up a lot of counter space) -Average/shorter cord length -Can’t be under a cabinet or by a wall when in use (proper air flow issues) -Have to reinsert tray to turn settings off if food finishes early -Cook times between sequential batches may differ/be shorter (may need to check food earlier; likely due to air fryer already being warm) Overall, we really, REALLY like this air fryer. I loved this product except for one thing. The non-stick coating, started wearing away almost immediately. I saw that there was a "no hassle" guarantee and had only had the fryer for 6 months. I called Amazon, they had me call Chefman. They asked me if i used any oil.....well yes, just to coat the pan.........that's where they got me. According to them you aren't supposed to use oil and that is why the coating was disappearing . So, once again....my bad! ... show more

It was harder taking this air fryer out of the box than it was to set it up, which is to say, just take it out of the box and remove the tape and plug it in, and you're good to go. I gave the basket a quick wash and let it dry by preheating. I had some egg rolls and shrimp in the freezer, so I cooked those things and they came out crispy and nice. I can see that it will take some trial and error to figure out the proper temperature and time for various items, but this is so easy to use, I don't see a problem with that. There are two dials, one for temperature, one for time, and you just have to figure out how long it takes to cook each thing. The cookbook was fairly useless, but there are some online recipes for air fried foods. If you want to try an air fryer, this is a great one to start out with and the price is very reasonable. This is a fantastic appliance. In the short time I’ve owned it I’ve cooked frozen food such as fries chicken nuggets etc, Salmon fillets and steak. I usually steam veges in the microwave but and going to try doing some baked. Blown away how great it it. Fast, simple. Zero oil. And so easy to clean, even after cooking steak. Soapy rinse and wipe with a damp cloth. Done. Do your self a favor. Buy one! ... show more

I LOVE THIS APPLIANCE! I used this for the first time to make mozzarella sticks and I can't stop! This air fryer made crispy, melty mozzarella sticks that were FROZEN....FROZEN I TELL YOU!....just 12 minutes before. The quick guide is so easy to follow and gives you hints and tricks to make sure what you're cooking turns out perfect. Also being able to put the tray and cup in the dishwasher is epic. I live in a smaller apartment and I found counter space for this life changing kitchen device. I proceeded to make bacon, pizza rolls, reheat pizza (Chefman reheated pizza is better than ordered fresh pizza, just saying), and make chicken wings. The recipe book included gave me so many ideas! The temperature and timer are on dials on the front of the air fryer and are easy to adjust and change. The indicator light glows blue when the basket is in place and ready to cook, and then turns red when the timer has started and the heating has begun. If the cup is removed, the heat stops but the time keeps going. It's really easy to use and it works quickly. Here's the thing. I lost a co-worker few years back from cancer. She keeps telling me to stay away from Teflon, and plastic material. She's not even 40. After she died, I did a cookware purge, threw all my teflon pots and pans, and change them all to borosilicate, glass, enamel, ceramic, or stainless steel. It was in Indonesia Then I moved to US, thought here they would not sell these dangerous stuff. Little did I know, the material is not PFOA/PTFE free, and basically a Teflon coated pan, inside a heated black plastic casing. My bad, should've checked the label and hazardous material declaration. Returned it as soon as it got to my house. Yeah, always check before you buy, even in the US. ... show more
