  • Perfect Size, Love The Three Cooking Racks, A Definite Good Buy!
Size: 12 quarts Color: Black
I just received this Chefman 6 in 1 Air-fryer earlier today. I've cooked a ton of bacon in it earlier and am now dehydrating banana slices and grapes. It's a bit early to have a definitive opinion, but I did want to share some first impressions. THE GOOD: - In other reviews I noted some who observed that the temperature up/down button increments in 10 degree steps. I assume their device was a generation older than mine as mine increments in 5 degrees steps. Nice! - I also noted in other reviews comments that the wire cooking racks are flimsy and that the wire mesh was so sharp it could cut your hand. After cooking bacon, the wire cooking racks had quite a bit of cooked on food product. Briefly soaking the racks in warm soapy water and using a stiff dish washing brush cleaned these up like new. - One or more reviewers mentioned that in spite of the drip pan, drips got past it and to the bottom of the device. I just simultaneously cooked three racks of bacon and not a drip of grease got past the drip tray. - Temp only goes to 400, but there's an option to kick it up to 450 to crisp at the end of your cooking. Nice! - Oven light is nice. THE NOT AS GOOD - The flip light used to tell you to flip fries and such just illuminates, no sound. This needs to be an audible sound. - Venting to back instead of sides. The manual states the air fryer only needs to be 2" away from the wall. I found that at 400 degrees and cooking for 15 minutes that the unit shut down on its own several times. I had to pull the air fryer away from the wall 6" to keep it from shutting down. I assume the auto shut down was because of an overheat condition, but there was no message that indicated this. If my opinion changes, I'll update, but I'd definitely rate this a great buy! UPDATE 07/28/2025: We've used this air fryer now for several weeks. First, I really do like the appearance of this device over a larger stainless air fryer I bought before this one. I really like the technical aspects of this air fryer. I saw on previous versions of this same fryer people complained about the lack of temperature controls because each step up in temperature on prior versions was in 10 degree increments. My device steps up in 5 degree increments. Also, people complained about the obnoxiously loud beeper that sounds when your food is done. This device has an appropriately loud beeper that doesn't both me at all. And though my prior air fryer was of the basket variety and my wife still preferred that format, this one has three heavier wire shelves that work fine. Cleaning is a little more difficult and while I normally hand wash our dishware, so far with a little presoak I've been able to with elbow grease get these clean. The only disappointment I've had so far is with the evenness of the temperature distribution. I wrongly assumed that the fans would more evenly distribute the temperature so flipping food wouldn't be required as much. But this cooks hot on one side more than the other, so you do have to pay attention when cooking and flip at least once through the cooking cycle. And by the way, with three racks I have at least double the space to cook things as I had with the old basket style fryer. If in the future I need to replace this device, I'd definitely consider this one... ... show more

  • Great size and function
Size: 12 quarts Color: Black
This is a great air fryer. I’ve had it for about six months and use it almost daily. It is a good size and I love the fact it has a door and racks instead of a basket like most other air fryers. I’ve never used the rotisserie function, so can’t speak to that. For everything else, it is the best air fryer I’ve ever owned or used. It offers plenty of functionality. I bought magnetic cooking guides along with this to put on my frig. I use foil or parchment lining on the trays for many foods. I would say it is an absolute must do for softer meats like chicken. Otherwise it will make a bit of a mess and the chicken will “sink” into the wire mesh of the rack. It is not difficult to clean but why bother when a quick liner will just outright prevent it in the first place? I just can’t imagine life in the kitchen without this anymore. Easy 5*. I would buy this again and gladly recommend to anyone. ... show more

  • Love, love, love!
Size: 12 quarts Color: Black
I researched so many air fryers and almost went with the glass front dual drawer Instant Pot brand because I love Instant Pot so much, but what sold me on this was the metal interior, the three metal shelves, in the footprint being tall versus wide so it takes up less counter space. Edited 1 year later: I use it five times a week and it still runs perfectly. This is so easy to use and clean, and cooks great. I just love it! I've had this 6 months and it is my most used appliance in the kitchen, and that's saying something. Maybe my toaster is used more than this, but that's it. Every other appliance is second. Even my Instant Pot! Baked apples, open face cheese melts of all kinds, brussel sprouts, baked oatmeal, salmon, potato wedges, fries of course; I can't begin to list everything. lt's great at reheating everything I've tried. Really it's just a really tiny oven. I haven't tried to rotisserie chicken yet, but I'm doing that this weekend. So if it doesn't go well I'll come back and do edits. The three shelves are the easiest to clean ever! I thought everything would stick in the holes, but they don't. It's just the right amount of shelves and they're just the right size to do everything I've wanted to do. My only complaint is that the outside is plastic and not wonderful plastic at that. I so wish the outside was high quality stainless steel. I would have paid double for it. I'm pretty picky when it comes to appliances. I don't want a one-trick pony and taking up all my kitchen space and not being worth the space they take up. So to give this air fryer this type of glowing review is a bit rare. But it deserves every star and more. ... show more

  • Chefman 12-Quart Air Fryer Oven – Versatile, Spacious & Easy to Use
Size: 12 quarts Color: Black
I’ve been really impressed with this Chefman 12-Quart Air Fryer Oven. The large capacity is perfect for cooking family-sized meals, and it easily fits multiple servings at once. The food comes out crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with very little oil. I also love how versatile it is. It can air fry, bake, roast, reheat, dehydrate, and even use the rotisserie function, making it a great all-in-one kitchen appliance. The digital controls are simple to use, the large viewing window lets you check your food without opening the door, and cleanup is quick thanks to the removable, dishwasher-safe accessories. If you’re looking for a spacious and multifunctional air fryer that delivers consistent results, this Chefman is an excellent choice. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • I really like it
Size: 12 quarts Color: Black
Love everything about this air fryer except that I cannot cook multiple layers at the same time. Heat distribution was a little low on the bottom shelves. Dehydration function was good. Same issue with heat distribution so I had to swap the trays up and down a couple times. Easy to clean and cooking smell doesn’t bother or linger for long. Easy to operate with a nice touch screen. Love the color too. It matches with my other appliances. Good size for a small kitchen. The door landed hard on the counter first few times when opening but I was careful after that to hold it all the way. It would be nice to have some kind of function for smooth opening like traditional oven doors. ... show more

  • So far works excellent
Size: 12 quarts Color: Black
Great buy for the price. It comes with everything you need to get cooking right out of the Box. I had a Toaster Oven I've had for 40 years and still worked great a Black and Decker, only issue is the grease built up over time and it caught on fire because I didn't maintain it after about 30 years. I got this thing and its loaded with great settings for Air FRY, Super Fry, Bake and dehydrate. I give my service dog chicken jerky I make at home in my other dehydrator, but I'm switching to this because its faster and I like that I can see while it's cooking. Super easy to use and has a nice big knob for adjustment. They even give you a tool to remove the hot tray so you don't burn your fingers and it's big enough to get in and clean very good. I've only had it 2 days but I'm not gonna jinx myself and say it should last a long time. Over all I am VERY happy with it. I made a chicken breast on Air Fry and it only took 15 min at 350 and came out nice and tender. ... show more

  • Love
Size: 12 quarts Color: Black
The only think that I don’t like is that it doesn’t go above 400 degrees. You can get it to 425 if the timer is almost done, then you can get it in “high temp air fry” for the last 2 minutes. Otherwise I am impressed

  • Works ok, if I had to choose again I probably wouldn't choose this
Size: 12 quarts Color: Black
I have used this for about 2 weeks and you have my word that if my opinion changes in some way I will come here and edit it. I detest when people leave a review of a product that they haven't even used yet. I have used this. What I have to openly admit is that I viewed this purchase primarily as a "Grilled Cheese making device. I'm in the stage of my late middle ages, my wife passed away last year and she did nearly all the cooking. So here I am an empty nest dad living alone in upstate NY with a great, unending and constant yearning for great grilled cheese sandwiches and if all this did was facilitate that I'd be perfectly comfortable with my investment. That said, this being a multi level cooker with 3 -4 different shelf positions and including 3 shelf's the decision is left to you if you want to cook more than one thing at a time. I'm sad to say that I don't think it's really made for that and if you are going to do it, you're going to have to do a lot of experimenting. Now just cooking one thing on one shelf restored a lot of research. Something that may cook perfectly on the middle shelf might cook vastly different in both time as and quality if you put the shelf on the higher space for it. Then add in the complications of say heating I don't know a hot dog on one shelf and some beans on the other shelf. This is where I realized that I would have been better off getting an air fryer that only had a drawer that allowed you to only cook one item at a time, but in a much larger amount than the multiple shelf unit , you end up of you're trying to cook more than one thing at a time of having to stand over it and constantly judge the speed and heat of how each item is cooking and more often than not you end up changing the shelf position a number of times to try and assure you that each item is being effectively cooked. That's 100 % not what you want an air fryer for. You want up know if you put something in it and set it for the time you know it'll cook in you can walk away and be sure your items will cook the way they're supposed to. So while yes technically you could cook two or 3 different things in this air fryer, you'd never do it, it'd be too much work, you'd have to stand over it and it would be a pain. Now as I said I primarily got this yo facilitate grilled cheese sandwich making and I will tell you that it took more than a week to get it perfectly but I've now done that and for that limited purpose it's amazing. If I had the choice to make again would I choose this as compared to say a ninja? NO, I would buy a Ninja if I had this to do all over again. Is this a pretty good workable air fryer. Yea, but again only if you're not using the full capabilities. I did get to try using the dehydration function to dehydrate some onions and I was very impressed with how well it ended up working . The only other negative that I'd like to give you a heads up on is this. Let's say you're putting in an item for 14 minutes for whatever reason. If you do that, at 7 minutes it will start beeping at you because it wants you to come over and flip your food which is just fine if you want to flip your food, but I will tell you honestly that there are a number of things I make that I do not need to flip it, and my only choice is to either walk over, open the door to it and then close it because that will convince the device that I've flipped the item or I can turn off the beeping sound altogether, but then it will not notify me if when the 14 minutes I mean to cook the item at has passed, which means if I do turn it off I have to set an additional timer on my phone. I just wish that if you're going to cook something for 14 minutes and at 7 minutes the device wants to let you know that you might want to flip the item, let's say it would beep 3 or 4 times and then stop beeping until the total cook time has been reached . It's not a deal killer, but it's a pain in the butt. ... show more
