abunda_amazon_reviews This is a nice little grill. The fact that they can ship this to your front door in such a small box is amazing. Even though it is probably made in China this grill is a fine example of superior American engineering. People who think they are going to open a box and start grilling are fools. A grill of any kind is a complex device and if you are going to build one it is going to take some time. This one took me about 1 hr and 50 min to assemble. That includes a couple mistakes on my part. The assembly is tedious but everything is there and fits together well. The final product is quite sturdy and robust. I have a nice trick for the first step - see my picture. Tape the leg tubes in place with some painters tape. This will keep everything in place when assembling the stand. Remove the tape once the screws are in place. This grill is a great value if you are handy with tools. I think I paid around $110 with the side burner. A moron had to have come up with it. The minuscule pieces and nuts that dont really fit the screws. I opted for the side burner for a pretty significant markup from the grill only. I was pretty disappointed to find the smallest bit of oil that dripped from a pan made the burner grate incredibly slick. Making it dangerous to keep the pan on that burner. I will probably rough up the grate with sand paper and see if that helps. The side burner also does not get particularly hot. Struggled to keep oil at 350 in a cast iron pan for frying. Next the main grill is okay. The heat is pretty uneven but you can learn the spots easy enough. I really don’t care for the grate here either with its coating. A preseasoned iron grate, or carbon steel is much preferred, but this is a budget grill after all. Other than those things the grill will work well for most people. I would probably skip the side burner. You can fit about 8 burgers at a time, so it’s not made to entertain large groups, keep that in mind. It’s cleaned up pretty well.
