  • Excellent Opener - Super Quiet - High Quality Camera
Style: B6753
There are already excellent reviews written about this opener. It is truly a great unit. As many people have noted, it is whisper quiet. Love it! We replaced a Liftmaster that was about 8 years old. The unit wireless module quit working and it was out of manufacturer. The motor unit was working fine. The entire unit had to be replaced unless I wanted to install an external receiver. My only concern with this one is the electronics. If they go out it does not look easy or even possible to fix. I will update this post if I ever have any issues with it. I love the MyQ app. I could not tell you how many times we asked ourselves if we closed the garage door when leaving! The MyQ lets you see if the door is open or not without needing to look at the camera. I have integrated it with a Tesla as well. The car also shows the open/close status. No more worrying about leaving the garage door open. A quick check will confirm. One can click the open/close button from anywhere. Excellent! The camera on the unit is another really nice touch. It has a perfect wide-angle view to see the entire 2-car garage opening. There is no way to enter the garage without being seen on the camera. If you subscribe to MyQ, they save the video online to review later. They have 2 subscription plans. One saves the videos for 7 days and the other for 90. For now I just subscribed to 7-days. I don't think I will need to access videos older than that and I can download them if needed. Without a subscription, however, video can only be live-streamed, not saved. There is no way to save video without a subscription. The 7-day one is around $39/year. It is worth it to have video history. Our unit did not come with a door entry keypad. I don't know if it was supposed to or not. I tried to program our original Chamberlain G940EV-P2 keypad to work with the new unit, but I could not get it to sync with Security +2.0 (yellow button) that is on this door. My previous unit was the purple button. I tried reprogramming it, but it did not take. Since I have the MyQ app and subscribe to the service, I decided to replace the old keypad with the Smart Garage Video Keypad (https://amzn.to/44q2M60). I will write another review on it, but it is outstanding so far. The video quality is excellent, it integrates perfectly with MyQ, and it supports multiple entry codes that get saved into a history log. The only drawback to the keypad is that it will only control one garage door. We have a gated driveway. Our old remote would also transmit to the gate. Similar issue if you were to have 2 garage doors. You would need a Smart keypad on each door. One keypad cannot open a second garage door opener. It also only supports Security +2.0 garage doors. It will not work with older units. The B6753T was shipped with 2 garage door openers, but the ones sent only support Security +2.0. They cannot be synced with any other receiver type. Like I said above, we have two gates on our property that are remote operated. The Chamberland opener has 3 buttons, but the ones shipped cannot work with any other type of receiver. Fortunately, we had G953EV-P2 remotes. Those are programmable remotes. There is a program button on the back that allows the user to set the type of receiver being used. Button 1 can be used with the main door Security +2.0, button 3 can be used with the gate... I tossed the openers that came with the unit. They look identical to the G953EV-P2. FYI, the remotes that are sent are 953ESTD. They are Security +2.0 compatible only. 953EV/EVC (https://amzn.to/3Pfd3h1) remotes are programmable. There is a small button under the clip on the back that when pressed that allows one to change the opener type. - Press the program button, click the key you want to change 1 time for Security +2.0, then press another button to save. Pressing 2x = purple button, 3x=red/orange button, 4x=green button. 4x is legacy and was the option that worked with our gate control. Overall I highly recommend the B6753T. If I encounter any issues with it I will update this post. ... show more

  • Ultra-quiet, feature-packed, and a total upgrade for my garage!
Style: B6753
I recently upgraded to the Chamberlain B6753T, and it has been a massive improvement over my old, noisy chain-drive opener. The difference in noise level is incredible—it’s so quiet that I barely notice it operating, even from inside the house. Why I’m glad I chose this model: The integrated camera: Having a wide-angle view of the garage right in the myQ app is a game-changer. It’s perfect for peace of mind, especially when I’m out of town and want to check on things. Lighting: The LED lights are incredibly bright and cover the whole garage, which makes a huge difference compared to the standard, dim bulbs I used to have. Installation: It’s definitely a project, but the BILT app instructions made the process much more manageable. I’d definitely recommend grabbing a helper for the installation, especially for the heavy lifting. Smart Control: Being able to monitor and control the door from my phone is incredibly convenient. Just be aware that while the basic smart features are great, you may want to look into the myQ subscription plans if you want the full suite of video storage and smart detection features. Overall, this is a fantastic, high-end system that has completely modernized my garage. ... show more

  • First-time installers, don't be afraid!
Style: B6753
For those first-time installers like me, here are a few things to note : 1. Hopefully not for you, but the programming can be a ROYAL PIA. My error was 4-6 (4 up — 6 down in the adjustment arrows on the unit). If your sensors are aligned, meaning the one is solid amber and the other one is solid green, that doesn't mean they're OK. Go back, unalign them to where the LED starts blinking, and realign them again (both LEDs are solid). It took me several hours and a lot of frustration to figure this one out. 2. The garage door opener is not going to automatically work right after plugged in. You have to set your traveling distances to the door. Search online for a video from Chamberlain Support, it shows the complete installation, and obviously how to set the traveling distances of the garage door. 3. Unless they are in bad condition, if you can use the wall and garage door supports from your old unit, use them. 4. The Built app is somewhat helpful, but a PIA to use on your phone. Be patient if you plan to use it on a small screen device :p 5. Unlike some old garage door opener units, the vertical brackets that attach to the sides of the unit and to the ceiling, may need to be cut right to the edge. In some old garage door openers, the vertical brackets “run down” the sides. That's because the mounting brackets on the unit are placed right at the edge of the body of the unit. With this model, the mounting brackets are further in from the edge. So this is why the vertical brackets will need to be cut right to the edge. 6. The remotes come pre-programmed (phew!). 7. To release the spring, you will need an adjustable wrench and a flat-head screwdriver. 8. To lift the tab in the front rail, I found it easier to stick a screwdriver through the small hole and lift. Then with a pair of angle nose pliers, I got it straight. 9. I thought the sprocket in the unit (where the belt turns around) had to be lubricated, but no, it comes pre-lubricated so you don't have to get messy :p 10. As weird as it sounds, the garage door opener does not come with a full manual. It comes with a quick start guide instead. If you want the complete manual, search online for the term "Chamberlain Garage Door opener manual 114-5548-000.pdf" 11. The angle camera of the camera can be adjusted. When setting up the camera, the myQ app asks you to open the camera all the way. After setting it up, I noticed with facing too far down and I could only see the top of car and part of the garage entrance. So I wanted to adjust the angle and noticed that the camera "snapped" into a different notch, so now the angle looks great. Even though it took me the whole day installing this garage door opener due to the issue with the sensors, I certainly would purchase this product again for my other garage door when it's time to replace the old unit. Very happy with this garage door opener. Enjoy your installation! =D ... show more

  • Super quiet, easy install, dumb camera and app.
Style: B6753
I will say first I got this on sale and cheaper than the model without a camera so I was glad to see the features I was getting. It was an easy-ish install, I never did one before but with one YT video felt pretty confident. You dont touch the spring and thats is the most dangerous part of a garage door, so I feel confident in telling you that you could probably do this as well. Cons: 1. the instructions were Ok...I didnt like that I needed to get an app to show me how to do this. Why cant we have paper instructions? 2. the install was fine and fairly straight forward. You might need two people to help hold things in place. 3. The app is not the greatest, my wife and I ended up just sharing the log in because otherwise only one of us could have access to the door or camera at a time. stupid. 4. The camera sucks...its nice if you want to see down the middle of the garage but its the worst viewing angle for anything other than seeing if both cars are in the garage. pros: 1. The garage door is so quiet you cant hear it in the next room over/above when it opens and closes. Awesome. 2. The price was a fraction (literally was quoted $1200 for same model including install) and took ~2 hours 3. The app does send notifications on open/close and let you know the last time it was opened/closed. 4. The app does let you open and close without for FREE (no subscription). 5. The lights can be connected to a motion sensor which is also nice. 4 stars for really just the app funtionality. It could use some work. The rest of the garage door mechanically is flawless. ... show more

  • A little more money, but worth it
Style: B6753
I purchased the Chamberlain B6753T model, $298 package price on Amazon, based on features & recommendations. My purchased model included belt drive, camera, dual led lights, open from anywhere, battery back up, one-time code entry and 1 1/4 hp electric motor. I chose to pick a local installer verses me undertaking this task. Here's why: This was a huge plus, as he took 1 hr to install, never looked at any instructions, as Chamberlin is his preference and has done this hundreds and hundreds of time's. He does not sell openers and said he rarely, if any, has a service call on Chamberlin products. He unboxed the product, laying out every piece. I'm telling you, he charged $150 and just to watch the process was worth that. In no time he had the old one down and the new one up. He programed 4 remotes, a outside keypad, inside operator panel and camera without any issues. I'm mechanically inclined, it would have taken me much longer to go step by step piece by piece with reading along...guaranteed. The unit features belt drive, turns out it's super quiet verses my chain old chain driven. Belt is sturdy and you really shouldn't expect problems. He easily adjusted the belt tension on the ground. The entire unit was put together before hoisted up for final mounting. The dual led lighting, one light on each end, truly lights my 24x24 garage, corner to corner. Stays on about 30 seconds after closure. The interior panel also allows a push button to turn light on and off as needed. The camera easily connect to Bluetooth wifi. Great picture, side to side, of everything that's in front of the camera. Has night mode option too. There is a MyQ $39.99 fee yearly to have the video stored 7 days. It sends me an alert and video clip based on my preferences. This to is money well spent. If you drive off you can always see if you closed the door with real time view. Can open and close from anywhere via MyQ app. Opener allows you to set a close feature. Mine is set to make sure it's closed at 7pm. So if you open it and are doing something else you are assured it closes at a given time. It has battery back up. According to the installer, based on the battery, which fits inside the opener, he estimates 30-40 openings. Battery stays charged based on a regulator built into the opener. Overall a little more than most Chamberlin openers but this model is just packed with goodies. I'm of the opinion I've got them and will use them accordingly. I think its about $100 difference and a great value. I'm now a couple weeks beyond installation and could not be happier with my choice. The installation cost was absolutely worth every penny as it was flawless. My installer was local and not affiliated with Amazon. I definitely suggest you look at buying this model based on my experience. ... show more

  • Happy with Chamberlain B6753T Smart Garage Door Opener
Style: B6753
This unit replaced 6 year old Ryobi Garage Door opener that stopped working. Installation: Pretty straightforward and same as my experience installing older Chamberlain and Ryobi Garage Door openers. Took me about 4 hours to install new Chamberlain B6753T. However, this was due to removing older garage door unit, its tracks and sensors, installing new Chamberlain B6753T Smart Garage Door opener, track, wiring to new sensors and new wall opener. I like this wall mounted opener has the motion sensor built-in as it activates the Garage Door opening LIGHT faster from my experience. I also had to custom install the bracket for new track since my older garage wood frame holes were stripped adding another 30 minutes to get the new track end mounted to my home frame, so I feel installation was no different from other garage door installation any may actually be significantly faster for you, especially if you don't have to remove everything I did. MyQ app: Works well to open, close garage door and view live video stream. Video quality is good even under low light conditions, you can set the camera to point anywhere in 360 degrees, and you can hear and converse back to anyone in garage. I haven't paid for monthly MyQ subscription to view recordings of past events up to 30 days. However, free MyQ subscription I continue to use provides 'Access' history showing dates and times when garage door was opened, closed and when camera recorded video. To preview past video recordings need to pay monthly prescription. Noise Level: Garage door noise level is very low! Even lower than my former Ryobi Garagedoor opener and that was low noise. However, I notice garage door opener TRACK started making some louder noise recently so I will continue to monitor that and update if appropriate. However, even with this new noise that started coming from the TRACK unit it's still definitely much quieter than standard garage door openers I observe at other people's homes. Quality of sensors: Motion detection from wall mounted switch, open and close functions from wall mounted switch, remote units in car and MyQ app all work great as they are extremely quick to track motion and button presses and turn on Garage Door Opener light, start opening/closing garage door and activate camera video. Garage Door LIGHT: Works well and 2,000 lumens - Very bright! Final Comments: Overall very happy with this purchase - price, design, features, functionality, quality = high value. If I can get rid of the humming noise starting about a month after installed that seems to be coming from the track, I would also rate it 5 stars for Noise level. I've uploaded a video opening the garage door with the added noise I mentioned. Hope this helps with your Garage Door purchase decision :-) ... show more

  • poorly packed, difficult install, DOES not work with Homelink, very poor value
Style: B6753
After Prime Day had three new garage door openers to install this weekend. Yeah, we really know how to party. Started with not one, but two Genie garage door openers. Then got to this Chamberlain. Compared to Genie, just unboxing told me this was an inferior product. The box does not give opening instructions (Genie does) and you tend to end up with a bunch stuff hitting the floor as it just kind of pours out. There are no written install instructions. It just has a QR code to animated instructions. This did not work well. The animated instructions had pretty poor animations of the parts. Remember this was the third GDO, yet it took the longest as the instructions were just really poorly done. The overall feel of the parts was not great compared to the Genie openers we installed. The Genie's felt extremely solid. This felt like it was just strong enough to work...mostly. I hope to keep this house for at least 6 more years, and I doubt this opener will last. Once we got it up and started in the app, we ran into the first major problem. You cannot use Homelink, the internal openers mounted in virtually every car these days. After hours of research, I have learned Chamberlain brand GDO does NOT work with Homelink. This really sucks. Apparently you can buy an add-on part, but Chamberlain customer support states publicly they do not guarantee it will work. Compared to Genie, which work out of the box with all the cars we own, this is just a huge disappointment. This model does not include an outdoor keypad. They really just want you to use your phone and their app to control it at all times. What really surprises me is this decision on a model with battery backup. I picked it because I want something that works when the power (and therefore internet/wifi) is out. Once I purchase remotes for the cars we would use Homelink or the Homelink adapter (which might not work anyway) AND an outdoor keypad you are into this thing for well over $500. That is simply ridiculous. I truly wish I had gone with a Genie. Better product, much better value. ... show more

  • Whisper Quiet Motor! B6753T
Style: B6753
This garage door opener is amazing and operating it has been a joy. It is very quiet, you only hear the door folding and the motor lightly humming. No noisy motor or vibrations! With that said, this was my first time installing a garage door opener myself and the install was not as smooth as I had hoped. The BiLT app did help me understand the assembly of everything since it included 3D models that are interactive allowing you to view the instructions in 3D. The install took 8 hours (two people) as I had several challenges to contend with such as a low ceiling height. My conditions were 7 foot 5 inch finished ceiling with a 7 foot tall garage door. That does not leave a lot of clearance for the garage opener track (rail assembly) with the door in the open position! Rail Assembly: I had to come up with a way to install the rail assembly as tight to the ceiling as possible. I also had to find a sturdy bracket to mount the motor assembly as close to the ceiling as possible. This was done using the 'Garage Door Rear Track Hanger Kit' manufactured by Coplay (Found at Home Depot). It had several metal brackets at different lengths which helped me mount the motor flush to the ceiling. Even had hardware included in the kit! I used about 2-3mm of washers between the bracket and ceiling to help me get the correct offset. Please Note: Do consider when mounting close to the ceiling to NOT interfere with the rail trolley sliding over the rail assembly. It has to travel/slide freely across the rail. I left about 1/4” of space above the trolley and above the sprocket cover located on the motor assembly. Door Bracket: The bracket that gets mounted on the door was simple, we opted to mount it 4” from the top edge of the door. This allowed the door to fully open when the garage opener was in operation. Door Sensors: The door sensors were not easily installed over our garage door rails. They are supposed to snap onto the rails however my door was hitting them in that position. I opted to screw the door sensors to the wall. To do this I cut and mounted a few pieces of 2x4 to the outsides of my garage door track to allow the door sensors to have a clear line of sight to each other. Wiring: The wiring of the door sensors and garage door opener were simple. I ended up using my own staple gun to mount wiring to the wall/ceiling as the included staples were not a great option. The door sensors must be wired white/white and black/black. Camera/App: The app helped finish up the installation. Be sure to have a strong wifi signal in the garage for the camera and app services to function correctly. Conclusion: My wife and I are super excited with our new garage door opener, after all the challenges we faced with the install, we are happy that it was worth it! All we need to do next is buy an external keypad which is not a make it or break it feature. ... show more
