  • Very Convenient
Color: Red
I designed and built a Rotary CNC. I use my Lathe to turn Firewood into cylindrical material. This Center Finder makes mounting the round blanks into my Rotary CNC an absolute breeze. I only have to mark the center for the Tail Stock, because the chuck finds it's own center. I do highly recommend this Center Finder tool. ... show more

  • If the two parts separate, try using it vertically
Color: YX-3 Red
The two parts of this center-finder tend to separate when used in a horizontal position, despite both the magnet and the set-screw. I have been able to get better results by using it (carefully) in a vertical position, resting it on top of the round piece being marked (which is situated horizontally), and letting gravity hold it against that round piece. That way gravity no longer works so hard to separate the two parts. ... show more

  • Perfect tool for the price.
Color: Red
Very well built, dead on accuracy. One reviewer stated to tighten the lower screws first - he was correct, if you don't it will skew a little off. After putting it together, I checked with my reference squares and it was dead on to 90 degrees, which you need to accurately find center on any circular object. I bought a similar one from Temu and it never worked properly, always off center and Temu's was about the same price as this one and poorly constructed. One reviewer complained that it only had metric measurements - either he received bad one or he didn't look at the other side. This has centimeters on one side and Inches on the other. I will probably buy more for family members who do a lot of wood working and other household projects. ... show more

  • Center finder
Color: Red
I bought this as a replacement of a different brand that I bought from Amazon and it has worked perfectly. The ruler locks easily into place by the four locking screws. It's made from Aluminum and the machining is spot on. I would definitely buy this one again if I needed another one.

  • Ruler too narrow and flat head screws could be a problem
Color: Red
This is a nicely made tool, but attention to detail is needed! The ruler is a bit smaller than the channel it sits in and therefore could be misaligned. The screws to hold the ruler in place are flat head machine screws. They hold it okay, but the underside is beveled. Since the ruler is smaller than the channel, when you tighten them it could move and misalign the ruler. You should loosen all four, adjust the ruler as desired, then tighten the ones away from the centerline first, that way the ruler is pushed to the centerline, then tighten the other two. There was no documentation with the tool. It is pretty straight forward to use, but if that ruler is misaligned, your center spot might not be in the center ... show more
