Nice heavy duty, good quality controls and mattress. If you are buying for an eldery, be careful: 1. Control buttons WAY TO SMALL - cannot read. 2. If power goes out the bed goes flat WHICH IS VERY SCARY FOR AN ELDERLY PERSON who cannot be flat for medical reasons! It should be locked when power is off. I ordered this bed for my elderly mother. It came in one business day. Both boxes were extremely heavy. You’ll need two people to move the base for sure. It was well over 100lbs. Once I got everything inside I opened the mattress from its air tight teal and watched it raise to its full height of 8 inches. Then I opened the base and attached the legs. A couple of snips to cut the zip ties that hold the top of the base to the steel frame and everything was good to go. I really can’t believe how easy this process was. My mom loves the bed and it is easy for her to work especially having a memory setting on the remote. She is legally blind so having that option was amazing! Easy to set up! We had my daughter settled in the bed within a could hours.. when she arrived home from the hospital. This bed is hands down better than a hospital bed! She loves the settings, abd the zero gravity setting is especially helpful with her many fractures. Update as of June13, half of the modes on the remote have stopped working. The bed is great. However, the seller failed to provide the side retainers necessary to secure the mattress in place. You’re only provided with the foot retainer. When I contacted the seller regarding the missing side retainers, I was instructed to contact Amazon. Amazon did not manufacture produce, or deliver the merchandise! Why the seller would not include these necessary parts, and then place a responsibility onto Amazon, is beyond my understanding! ... show more
