The frame is heavy for an elderly person, but not too heavy because I was able to put this bed together by myself. It ships by FedEx who delivered the frame first and and followed two days later the gel mattress. I am 90 years old and was able to put the frame and the mattress all together. To my surprise, once all was in place and the bed plugged into the wall, the remote worked nicely raising the head and foot as promised. The gel mattress is nice, vedry pretty, and somewhat firm. I enjoy the old fashioned goose type mattress, the kind where your whole body sinks down. Luckily, the previous 8" memory foam fit atop the gel mattress perfectly and the head and foot rise nicely. Now I can raise up, watch tv, eat my dinner from a sturdy bed tray and when I go to sleep, elevate my legs nicely. The company responded well and quickly to my requests and I thank them for that. As long as it continue to raise and lower with the wireless remote my sleeping life will be much better. I do recommend this manufacturer. They did a fine job creating and putting this bed together. BTW, I am a REAL person who was very skeptical when I made the purchase but today, with the bed all set up and working, I am very happy with the purchase. As an elderly person, this is a very good buy.

The frames are sturdy, good quality material electronics work good too. When the power goes out the frame does rest itself so I have to find just the right adjustments when that happens. The mattresses are good quality and super comfortable. Next time I will buy a solid king mattress not two twins though cause the grand canyon in the middle is not easy to keep filled. I also wish there was a support on the sides like at the foot so the mattress did not slide off the frame side to side. I would buy this again, but like I said previously with one king mattress not two twins.

The sturdiness of this bed is amazing. I had surgery and this bed does exactly what I need. I needed too and still do for the next few months and it adjusts perfectly. What I really love is that I can adjust and my husband can lay anyway he wants. The remote is easy too use and lights up. Setting this bed up was very easy took my husband about 45 minutes. I would highly recommend too anyone that needs an adjustable bed

I got this for my 82 year old mom. Very comfortable and easy to put together. Sturdy construction without any unnecessary fluff. I did find one thing a bit misleading. It advertises as having a light. I thought it was a light under the bed like the one that is on my Sleep Number. It's actually just a weak LED light attached to the remote. I am also trying to buy a second remote because I don't want the bed stuck in one position if the remote fails. It is out of stock though.
