I'm impressed by the quality of this fan! I live in an older house and have a basement bedroom. There's very little airflow, and the ceiling was too low for a traditional ceiling fan. This was perfect for what I needed. I originally had and old ceramic style light holder with a single bulb. The installation of this fan was a breeze since all I had to do was remove that ceramic base and twist a few wires together. It came with everything needed to install it except for the screwdriver. The whole thing took about 15 minutes to put together and 15 minutes to install. The fan weighs practically nothing making installing by one person even easier. Every function, including the forward and reverse options, are controlled by the remote making it even more practical since everything can be controlled from the comfort of my bed. There is no feedback when you press the remote buttons. I have fans in other rooms of the house and when you press anything on the remote they give an audible beep. This one does not. At first, I thought this would be a con, but after using it in the middle of the night while half asleep, it seems to be more of a pro. It's quiet enough that the beep would be much more noticeable under the circumstances.

I got this fan/light for the guest room because there is no air conditioning in that room. Boy does this help! It was really light, and easy for me to hold up while doing the installation. It came basically pre wired, so I didn’t have to do any additional wiring separately for the fan. It took only about a half an hour to do, including removing the old fixture. My only issue with it was it comes with a safety hook to suspend it from while you connect the wires. There wasn’t any obvious connection for it on the main chassis, so I ended up holding it up in one hand and wiring with the other. But, as I said, thankfully it was really light, and I could hold it in place while wiring. The remote (included ) controls the light’s color and brightness, fan speed, and also has a timer, and direction control. It was inexpensive as well. Very happy with this item.

This review is for the Ceiling Fans with Lights - 42 Inch Low Profile Flush Ceiling Fan with Light and Remote Control. I love the 6 speed setting on fan because it gives multiple options than the standard 3 on many fans. The light is also dimmable which is nice to use during different times of the day. The installation itself was easy and quick. I have installed fans multiple times before so that is an added benefit but if this is your first time, it should be easy for you too. Simply follow the included directions. The fan is lightweight even though the blades are made of aluminum. Overall, it looks very elegant and works very well.
