Bought this for my daughter to take her hot cocoa to school. She loves it! She says it stays warm for a long time and it’s very easy to sip from. It says it can’t go in the dishwasher, but it has gone through the dishwasher twice now (top rack furthest corner) and no chipping, cracking or breaking.

This is a great mug. I have purchased two of them for my wife. It keeps coffee hot for quite some time. Also is a great price for what you can get. The only problem is the sliding closure for the lid is cheaply made. This little part has broken on both mugs so I ordered replacement lids set from the same company and so far all of them broken already. The little clips that slide back-and-forth within the groove and keep the closure in place snap off pretty readily while cleaning or just from extended use. Had another steel vacuum insulated cup that got dented and lost its insulating qualities. This cup was a great improvement, well insulated, comfortable handle and cleans very easily. Sometimes a stainless contained gets stained (the last one did) and strong coffee has not made any stains at all, even if the cup sits out with some coffee in it for a while, it cleans spotlessly every time. Good choice for daily use and it comes in a lot of great colors. It came with a lid, but since we don't go out with it, we never use it. Great value! ... show more

Pros- It's does a good job of retaining heat - especially if you preheat it with some hot water beforehand. It's a nice weight & comfortable to hold. Looks nice too. I can't speak to the durability of the finish because I haven't used it outside of home. Con- only one, but it's a serious problem. The little plastic piece that slides back to allow you to drink loosened up with just a few dozen uses. So when you tilt to drink, that piece slides towards your face, bumps your top lip & covers most of the hole the liquid should flow from. I can't comfortably hold it in place while holding the handle. I tried adjusting the lid to a different angle so I could reach that plastic piece to hold it back, but it just doesn't work. I also tried holding it back by extending my upper lip slightly. That experiment was a messy failure. I understand they have lids available for purchase, but I don't see having to buy a lid every few dozen uses. If the issue with the lid can be corrected in a way that still allows for cleaning, this would be a five star product. Edited to add- I found a temporary, although unattractive "fix" for a loose slider. Use a strip of Glad Press N Seal wrap to hold the slider open. (See picture) It can be repositioned to close the slider. It's not ideal, but it keeps the slider out of the way. ... show more
