I ordered these to go on my entry cabinet. They were exactly as shown in the website photos. I found the same lamps on a couple other retail websites, but the price here was the best. They were packed very well and came earlier than expected. The bases are heavy so they won't tip due to the size of the shades. They were very easy to assemble. Just screw the pieces together as you pull the slack out of the cord, At first, I thought it was weird the shade frames were white when the base/candlesticks were dark bronze, but once I put bulbs in and turned them on, I realized it was so the shade frames didn't show through the fabric, even though the shades are nicely lined. And you can't see the white frames unless you look up from beneath them and even then, they sort of blend into the beige interior shade fabric. The shades are a beautiful burgundy silk-like fabric. I put 1watt LED (=10watt incandescent) bulbs in them because the lamps are more for ambiance than task. I think they are lovely and would definitely recommend them to add a touch of style to any decor. ... show more

You can't just pull the cable through (down) at the base to get rid of the excess cord at the top. You have to push the cord into the very top of the base a bit (it goes about an inch - if that - before it resists). Then pull that much on the cord at the very bottom... repeat. Takes awhile. I found a NEEDLE NOSE pliers worked great to get that last bit pushed down since it was too close to use my fingers (forcing it closed would have caused a crimp). I love the look of these lamps; they're more for ambience than utility. ... show more

quality lamps; well packed to protect. easy to set up. sturdy. I use RGB bulbs in my lamps (most have red shades) and using either red, light red, or amber keeps the shades nice and red as I like them. very pleased with these lamps. hard to find with red shades and these sure fit the bill. and the price was right plus I got them on sale. win win! ... show more

Got these from Amazon used and they are prefect. I've ordered from Amazon used before and have never been disappointed. The box had obviously been opened before. However the 2 lamps and shades were in perfect condition. It was totally worth taking a chance.

I’m really happy with these. I was a little concerned after some reviews complained that they weren't straight or were cheaply made. I didn’t find these problems at all. If you want a super sturdy and expensive looking lamp… pay up at a high-end furniture store. I have these on an entry hall table and they look great with 15 watt bulbs in them. Just the look I wanted. Shades are a very pretty color. Boxed very well for shipping. I really wouldn’t recommend these for bedside tables or sofa end tables. They weren’t made for that. They're a little lightweight and might topple over easily if bumped. ... show more

I purchased these for my fireplace mantle. They are just what I wanted and look great! The lamps are about 24" tall and have an Art Nouveau feel. The lamp shades are a nice deep red. They came perfectly packaged and were easy to put together. We looked at similar lamps in the stores and I feel these look more expensive then they actually were. They are perfect to add height to a buffet table or mantle place. I would recommend these to others. ... show more
