First, don’t get caught up by the psi hype. 1800 is plenty, and you’re not going to be using max psi 90%+ of the time. What matters is cleaning units (CU), which is calculated by multiplying the psi pressure with the gallons per minute flow rate. And with that in mind, this thing rates among the best pressure washers available. Not the highest, but what it lacks in the highest end of pressure, it more than makes up for in how much water it can output. That said, for about $25 less, greenworks makes one with a higher CU rating. So why pick this one? Because after borrowing one of the greenworks models (the 2300 psi) and using it for a couple weeks, I didn’t like it as much. This thing is so much more convenient. The greenworks comes on a metal frame with wheels, which seems like a good idea, until you realize the thing is heavier than a mid-90’s Buick. This thing is light enough that carrying it around one-handed isn’t a problem. Sure, you don’t want to spend your entire work time holding it aloft, but you don’t need to. When you do want to move it, it’s so much easier than the ones on wheels, and less likely to get tangled up in the hoses and power cord. And the CAT can fit in the trunk of my Japanese sports car (I took it to my mother’s house to clean her driveway and porch). The greenworks might fit in a pickup or SUV, but anything smaller will make transportation a nightmare. The CAT also has a separate bottle for soap, where the greenworks’s soap dispenser is integral to the machine. And it’s pressure-based. That means any time the pressure is low enough, you’re getting soap, whether you want it or not. With this one, if you don’t want soap, just take off the soap dispenser. Seems like a small issue, but after a week trying to clear the dried in soap the owner had left in the dispenser of the greenworks, the CAT’s detachable dispenser was a relief (I’ve also washed two cars and a full sized pickup with this thing, and it was a breeze). Also, the gun stores easily in the side compartment of the CAT, where the little holster on the greenworks won’t hang on to the gun to save its life. A quick Google search found I was not the only one having that problem with the greenworks (figured maybe it was just that owner’s handle, seems like it’s a design flaw). The greenworks also leaked pretty bad, and I could never manage a perfect seal. The CAT hasn’t leaked yet. My complaints about the CAT 1800 are few, but this thing isn’t perfect. There’s no way to tell if the power is on. No LED backlight, no strong detent or anything. That feels a little unsafe, not necessarily for the user, but definitely for the life of the machine. Another nitpick is that the plug is a gfci plug that has to be reset every time it’s plugged in. Great for safety, but you’ll have to remember that every time to plug it in, otherwise you just be backtracking to the plug to reset it when you just want to get to work. Also, the soap dispenser drains very quickly, so a slightly larger one wouldn’t be bad. Overall, this is a great pressure washer for the price, and the convenience of use, smaller size for storage, and high power, all while not sacrificing any features of other pro-sumer level pressure washers is very nice. If you’re looking for cheap, this ain’t it. But if you’re looking for something higher end, without the hassles of the larger machines, I can’t recommend this thing enough.

after watching various reviews on the tube and online - i decided to pull the trigger on this - so far it seems to work well - its quiet - and does what its expected - wish the pressure was stronger - but for a unit like this its what i expected - ive owned other electric washers before this one is better so far - lets see how it last the test of time few things to consider when deciding on this unit - the gun hose is not long enough - stiff - might consider buying a different hose - the connections on the gun and unit for the output hose are impossible to unscrew after you use the unit for a while - my guess is - it heats up - the metal expands - and there is nothing getting that stuff off - its not heavy - but its not that lite either - so keep this in mind - the hose / power cable wrap up nicely - good luck getting the power connection to sit in the holder after wrapping it - no luckfor me - but not a big deal - the soap cannon is OK - its not great - dont fill up the container - only fill it half way - otherwise no foaming occurs - consider using a third party gun / nozzle / soap container instead of this - this unit needs quick connects - upgrade if possible - or just wait an hour for the metal to contract so you can unscrew the hoses - switching between pressure washing and foaming its cumbersome in conclusion - im happy thus far - only one use of the unit - lets see how it holds up after the test of time - i am considering buying the recommendations mentioned above to improve my experience and lessen the likelihood of breaking the unit over basic usage

Flow is a little on the low side, but fine for an electric. Also be aware that the advertised pressure rating is with no flow. I didn't measure pressure or flow with the water flowing but it is adequate for my needs and I am not too worried about doing damage with it. The portability and small storaqe space required is a big plus for me. I think I understand at least some of the complaints about it not turning on. It happened to me too, but it was just operator error. It works great once you know you have to be sure the safety circuit breaker is reset. I didn't know that the pump should be treated with an anti-corrosion/antifreeze product if stored for the winter and I don't know if this unit needs that, but I do it just to be on the safe side. It is a bit of a pain in the neck since my main planned use for it is to wash cars during the winter on warm days. I use it with a flippable undercarriage washer so I can wash the garage floor without water going everywhere. For applications like cleaning a garage floor, it isn't a bad thing to have the lower flow, wastewater is more manageable. The undercarriage washer can flip the over to wash the salt from the underside of my cars with fresh clean water (car washes use recycled water that contain dissolved road salt). There seems to be plenty of flow for that. The supplied foamer works well enough for me for washing cars, although some reviews say to get an actual foam cannon to use instead. To wash and rinse, I used the second from narrowest nozzle without worry that it would be too powerful and damage paint or plastic. I tried removing some 2 yr. old paint stains from my front porch with the zero angle nozzle but it didn't do much. I think a longer aftermarket hose would be useful but not necessary. If you do opt for a replacement hose, be sure the fittings are the correct type. My unit came with a broken hose caddy so I returned the whole thing and to my amazement, the replacement came the next day. Overall, it meets my needs.

All around this is a great pressure washer, does the job, high water output. The hose and attachments are ok, but you should upgrade the hose to a 50', and get a sprayer with a swivel to keep the hose from kinking, and quick connects to make it easier to deploy. CON: The pump does get hot! So does the power cord. The cord holder on the backside of the machine blocks the cooling vents heating the machine quickly. So when using it be sure to remove the power cord so it does not block the vent. As for why the entire power cord gets super hot, I can only say that the coil in causing an induction current. so just unload the power cord to avoid problems. It is a great machine, just use your good sense.

I like the CAT electric pressure washer. I have a few employees with a lot of equipment, some of which requires gas (as opposed to diesel). Therefore, I have a hard time having gas on hand when I want to do something myself without first having to go to the gas station adding more time to my job before getting started. This pressure washer (or warsher depending on where you are from) has held up good for me. I have had it a couple of years now and it is still going strong. Handy, compact, quiet (I love letting off the trigger and not hear a gas powered one roaring still). I also like the power that it has, it isn't the most powerful by any means. However, it has good volume and pressure combined and is perfect to me for nicer vehicles that I want to preserve the paint on and still get them clean. For bigger jobs of stripping paint or stain off a deck, getting stains off concrete, or even on dirty equipment you would probably want a more powerful gas powered model. Otherwise, this one is portable, easy to use (no gas or loud engine), and is great for vehicle cleaning.

I did alot of research on YT to find the exact pressure washer to use to wash my car and found this CAT washer met all my needs. Got it in June and washed my car twice this summer water rinse using the various provided noozles was great and able to foam and wash it off very well. I made sure each time I was done that I tipped the washed on both sides to empty out any remaining water inside. I wiper it down clean because I intended to keep this washer for as long as I can. Well, the car needed a simple wash and foam again this weekend 10/17/21 and I setup everything as I had done in the past but this time the washer motor was very loud and made straining sounds like it was seizing up. I can smell and feel the heat from the motor/pump. It was pretty obvious this CAT washer motor/pump is dead and the smell of electrical short or seize was strong so I unplugged it to prevent further short and probably smoke/fire. I'm so disappointed in this washer. I watched all the Active Jobsite videos with so much promise for quality and durability but in reality... I got two car washes out of a pampered well-taken care off CAT pressure washer before it died. Now I am looking to the manufacturer to provide warranty. Beware buyers! I did my research and I still got a lemon.

Easy to use, light weight for the power and highly compact. Plug your washer hose in the front, water hose in the back, plug it in the wall and turn it on and she's ready to go. Having only used gas washers before this I really liked how it only runs as you use it and isn't too hard on the ears. Cleaned my driveway and truck with the 15° bit and did a phenomenal job. For an electric pressure washer it has enough power for any common household chores you could use it for and doesn't require the space or maintenance of a gas pressure washer. Only things I could complain about is I have to reset the built-in GFCI everytime I unplug it and plug it back in and it does draw an enormous 14amps of power so having anything else on the same circuit could trip a breaker. I wouldn't say this can replace a gas pressure washer in any commercial sense but for the convenience you couldn't ask for a more powerful pressure washer.

CAT 1800 PSI Pressure Washer Well packaged (double boxed). Well designed. Easy to carry and store in a small space. Plenty powerful enough for home and car use. The foam blaster worked well for me too. I put three hours run time on the power washer so far, without issue. My supply side water is city water at 40 psi through a 50’ garden hose. The unit pumped at just under 2 gpm. Get a longer aftermarket auxiliary house like others have mentioned; the 20’ hose that is included is good for small projects but not convenient for large vehicles, etc. Fingers crossed that it stands the test of time…
