This cast iron pan was so easy to use. There are convenient pour spouts on both sides that makes it easy to drain any oil or grease. On the opposite side of the handle, it has tab like handle for easier handling when both hands are needed. I tried the cast iron pan out first by cooking bacon. It was so nice to have a grooved pan that keeps the food above and out of the grease. The bacon cooked evenly and came out without allot of grease on it. The beautiful dark turquoise blue pan is very eye appealing and gives the cast iron skillet a modern look plus it makes it easier to clean. Just a heads up that the handle will get hot since the pan is cast in one piece. I really like that the pan is coated with a non-rusting glaze on the inside for easier cleaning. This is a very nice quality cast iron cooking pan that I really have enjoyed using and can give this product a 5-star rating.

So far, so good. It’s a solid 10" grill pan. Cast iron is, of course, heavy—this one is no exception. One thing to note is that the handle and pan are molded as one piece. That means if you heat it up too much, the heat will quickly transfer to the handle. It’s a good reminder to always have a wet towel or some heat-resistant material handy to wrap the handle when moving the hot pan. The pan is clearly preseasoned and has an enameled coating, so you can use it right out of the box with a bit of oil. Carote recommends using medium heat to protect the enamel, but if you're comfortable with re-seasoning, you could probably push it a little. Otherwise, just rub on a light coat of oil after cooking and before storing. It’s nice that it has a pour spout—super useful for draining excess oil, especially after cooking bacon or high-fat meats. I think it's pretty affordable at $27 and comparable to L*dge pricing. I’m hoping it can build a similar reputation for my sake too. I mainly got it to get those nice grill marks on bread and meat.

This is my first time using a cast iron grill pan, and I won’t lie, I was a bit overwhelmed at first. When it arrived, I was really impressed with how beautiful and solid it looked. The material feels very high-quality, and the blue color I picked is stunning. It actually looks great sitting on the stove. I’ve been using it daily to test different types of food, especially meats, which is what this pan was clearly made for. The heat retention is fantastic and it keeps everything hot even after you turn the stove off. But I have to say, the cleaning part was way more challenging than I expected. After the first use, a thick layer of stuck-on food was left behind, and it was tough to clean. I started doing some research and slowly learned how to handle cast iron properly. So here are a few tips that helped me and might help you too: • Make sure to preheat the pan for 2 or 3 minutes before adding food • Don’t place food on a cold or warm pan, it needs to be hot • Never pour cold water on the hot pan, it can damage the enamel coating. Let it cool first • After washing, dry it completely and rub a thin layer of oil with a paper towel • Avoid steel wool or harsh scrubbing. If food is stuck, soak it with hot water and use baking soda if needed Even after following all this, cleaning is still more work than with a regular pan, so I’m giving it 4 stars. But I’m getting better at using it and learning something new each day. Overall, it has been a great experience. It’s a strong, beautiful, and versatile pan that delivers great results when used properly. If this is your first time with cast iron, take your time and be patient. Once you get the hang of it, it’s worth it.

This is a really nice, heavy-duty pan. It is enameled, not rough like 'normal' cast iron pans, though that doesn't really make things not stick if you don't cook food in a way that it...won't stick. I use it on an electric flat top stove and it has worked really well so far. It seems to heat pretty evenly and cooks well. The quality seems nice. It's cast iron, so it's heavy. The color is also a nice blue. The grill bottom kind of makes it hard to clean, but that isn't anything wrong with the pan. That's how it's designed, I just thought I'd mention it. Overall, I think it's a really nice pan if you're looking for a pan like this.

I’ve been using this 10″ CAROTE cast iron grill pan regularly on both my gas stovetop and in the oven, and it has quickly become a go-to piece in my kitchen. It heats evenly and retains that heat well! Great for searing meats, grilled veggies, and even pressed sandwiches. The ridges leave satisfying grill marks while keeping food elevated from grease. What I especially appreciate is the enamel-coated blue exterior: it’s not only beautiful but also makes cleanup easier compared to raw cast iron. That said, it’s still quite heavy (as expected with cast iron), and it requires proper drying after each wash to prevent any rust on the exposed edges. It comes pre-seasoned, but I added my own light coat of oil after the first use to boost the nonstick performance. It’s held up beautifully so far, and I’ve even used it over an open flame while camping. Highly recommend for home cooks looking for a versatile, stylish, and durable piece of cookware that works across stovetop, oven, induction, or fire.

She got some solid well constructed weight to her. We needed a new cast iron and this kne is perfect. Not only is it functional it's has a great look and feel so best of both worlds. We got the red and i will say it's a beautiful deep red /burg color and looks great. The inner fins are also functional and heat up real fast. The handle feels comfortable but dont forget she has weight. Thos design also has two side drip cut outs that allow you draining on the fly. We followed the included instructions and everything was fast and easy. Our first meal was a steak and it came out amazing.
