They're lightweight but hefty enough to be stable, a solid cooking surface. They don't easily stain, perhaps darken slightly with use unless overheated, food burned in it. It cools evenly. It has a nice thickness to it and it’s easy to clean. It’s great for pasta, no bake cookies or veggies. I have cooked hamburger meat in it. Great pot for everyday use.

I have several Carote pans. I cannot sing their praises enough. They're durable, beautiful, resist staining and are scratch resistant. Make sure you use the correct utensils though. DO NOT USE METAL UTENSILS. You will damage the pans that way. They clean up beautifully. I would say that the non stick surface is comparable to hex clad or any higher end pan.
