Bought a set of Carote brand pans about a year ago. They had a rough interior surface and a faux wood handle they claimed was bakelite. Initially great pand, no stick on the rough surface. Overcthe year I used these pans, the surface first discolored, then began to wear through to the aluminum base. Decided they were trash because I didn't fancy eating aluminum particles. I really wanted to like these pans. Bought another set of Carote pans about a month ago. They have a bolted-on black handle and a smooth interior surface. Debated whether to keep or send them back. Finally decided to keep, since the cost was so enticing. So fat, no scratches, no discoloration, no wearing down to aluminum surface. I'd like to see the company refund the cost for tge first set, but probably not going to happen. In the meantime, I'll continue using the second set and see what happens. ... show more

These pans are bomb. I purchased them as a back up to my Rachel Ray set. The sturdiness of the handles are amazing. The food glides off. Truly nonstick. They are super easy to clean. The price had me doubting the quality of the pans, but I’m glad that I took a risk and purchased them. I’ll definitely be purchasing more cookware from this company. ... show more

I’m trying to be careful, but they do scratch easily, (I only use silicone utensils with them). I hand wash. But I think they’re the best I’ve tried so far. They’re fairly thick, so preheating seems to work well. I use very little oil.
