This is a very nice pickleball paddle, but I am not a fan of the smooth grip. I prefer a grip with a raised ridge. I can add a new raised ridge grip easily enough, but it adds to the cost of the racket and I am not sure I would have purchased this particular racket if I had know it had a smooth grip. The two tone color of the grip looks like it is a raised ridge grip but it is not. If you like a smooth paddle grip, I believe you will like this paddle. I wanted more surface texture on my paddle for better control of spin. This definitely has it. It's noticeably rough enough to grab the ball and spin it just about any direction you want.
