  • Worked great no flaws
Used this for the first time a couple of days ago. Only ran 2 coils through it but it worked great. No complaints at all. It performed as expected with no hang ups, easy to use, good spin up rate, easy to load. I bought dewalt roofing nailer nails and it performed flawlessly. But it would probably do great with any nails. Battery life didn't register any use but it was a very small job. Good value if you don't want to haul hoses and compressors, I'd trust it on a roof but you're going to want the batteries for your job or time to recharge. ... show more

  • Solid
Smacks nails fast and hard runs well with standard nails. I ran 1-1/2" nails out of it. Does tend to hit hard, I had to back out the adjuster all the way on mine to get the setting right. These aren't cheap tools but they deliver on power and performance. Battery life is going to be less on these than the old version as the tool runs for about 5 seconds after pressing the foot down. But this does increase the performance of the tool as the flywheel stays at peak for longer. Much more consistent nail delivery than the old design. These are built to last. I treat mine like little babies, wipe them down kiss there booboos and tuck them in with a bedtime song but even if you beat them up they'll stand up to the punishment. Don't drop it off the roof onto cement but that's too much to expect from any tool. All of these flywheel tools are large and heavy. Be prepared for a bit of lugging, but no cords and no hoses is a benefit that a bit of extra weight is worth. ... show more

  • Great buy
Bought it for the vinyl siding job. Planned on running a nail gun with compressor for the roof. Ended up running the cordless for the full 15 sq roofing job. Couple of jambs but easily cleared. Would highly recommend picking one of these up!!!!

  • works great
works great. not even one jam after using all day. used BHTOP coil nails from amazon. easy to load. small 20V battery lasted all day. unit is a bit heavy but saves a lot of annoyance working with pneumatic or corded tools. highly recommend.

  • I will never be tied to an airline again.
Great Roofing nailer. Fits in the hand nicely. Has plenty of power, I used 2 and 1/2 -4 or 5- amp batteries to shingle about 700 square feet ( I use 4 and 5 amp batteries the most and usually just grab one and go without checking). Either way I’d say it was a great purchase if you plan on roofing, even better when you aren’t tied to an airline that gets hung up on all the scaffolding, Brackets or the added tripping hazard of a hose. ... show more

  • Great Roofing Tool!!
I’ve been roofing for 30 years. I’ve always wanted something like this to work. This gun does not beat the quickness of a pneumatic gun, but we don’t need it to. The use for me is repairs, or other jobs where I have a small amount of shingles to put on and don’t want to pack out the compressor, but it’s more than I want to hand nail. This tool also allows me to show up on a job, grab my bag and gun and start working while the layout man unpacks all the equipment and gets the hoses ran etc. I had a square installed on a new roof before needing the compressor, allowing me to be productive sooner than normal! I found that if the nails are tangled or not completely fresh, the gun will jam up. This is slight delay; but the gun has a great driver release option which allows you to get the driver out of the way quickly. I installed about 18sq using this gun over the weekend, (starting each side, running the valleys, etc). Also great for installing drip edge. ... show more

  • Good buy.
A little heavy but better than draging an air hose around. Surprised how long a battery last. Can run most of day on a 4 or 6 battery. The only complain it still fires when it runs out of nails and punches a hole in the shingle where the nail should have gone.
