  • Worth the money.
Well-built and powerful. This nailer just like the Metabo is quality made and performs flawlessly. Not too heavy like the Metabo but enough for positive control and use. I use primarily use all Dewalt but have experience with other brands. I am not knocking the others because I like Metabo as well. I only needed the tool because of all of the chargers and batteries I have so this was a no brainer. It will not disappoint unless you don't know what you are doing. ... show more

  • Awesome Nail Gun
Did my entire roof with this gun. Only a few jams. Used two different brands of nails and two sizes. No problems. A bit heavy but easy to use. Does not come with battery or charger. Must buy separately.

  • Solid
Smacks nails fast and hard runs well with standard nails. I ran 1-1/2" nails out of it. Does tend to hit hard, I had to back out the adjuster all the way on mine to get the setting right. These aren't cheap tools but they deliver on power and performance. Battery life is going to be less on these than the old version as the tool runs for about 5 seconds after pressing the foot down. But this does increase the performance of the tool as the flywheel stays at peak for longer. Much more consistent nail delivery than the old design. These are built to last. I treat mine like little babies, wipe them down kiss there booboos and tuck them in with a bedtime song but even if you beat them up they'll stand up to the punishment. Don't drop it off the roof onto cement but that's too much to expect from any tool. All of these flywheel tools are large and heavy. Be prepared for a bit of lugging, but no cords and no hoses is a benefit that a bit of extra weight is worth. ... show more

  • So far so good
I just took delivery of this yesterday and won't have a chance to put it to work until this week. It'll rarely, if ever, be used for roofing. I took a chance and bought the pair of siding tips on Amazon that most everyone says are prone to breakage but the only real alternative are tips made in Canada for $100 plus shipping so I'll try these first. My other purpose for this tool is nailing the fins on vinyl windows and doors. First impressions are it's a heavy gun but that was expected. To cut down on weight I plan to use a 3ah battery. On many test fires into a couple of treated 2x4s it seems to want to drive 1 1/4" nails at an angle off to the right but not enough to be an issue. Haven't tried 1 3/4" nails yet but these two lengths are what I plan to use depending on the situation. My only complaint thus far is the drive-depth adjustment. Somehow my dial doesn't line up with the correct slots, making 4 the highest nail depth and 2 the lowest. 3 and 4 don't have any slots. I've tried to fix this myself but the way its put together makes correcting it very difficult, to the point I don't want to break it. After playing with it for a while at least I'm aware of this misalignment and it shouldn't be too hard to compensate for. Just a little disappointing. ... show more

  • Does not work
Finally put this roofing nailer to work. Worked great for one package of shingles . After that will shoot one nail or two then you have to mess with it over and over . I got ripped off . Seems like it won’t advance the coil of nails to have a nail ready .This causes it to lock out .
