I am thoroughly impressed with this Caramel acacia wood baritone ukulele. Having played several other baritone ukes in the past, the tone on this model stands out immediately. The acacia wood provides a noticeably richer, warmer, and more resonant sound compared to standard mahogany or laminate options I have tried. It has an excellent sustain that really brings out the deeper register of the baritone tuning. As far as the company goes, Caramel seems to make exceptionally good quality instruments for the price point.Pros:Superior Sound: Deeper, richer tone than other baritone models in this class.Excellent Value: Caramel delivers impressive build quality that outperforms its price tag.Aesthetics: The natural grain of the acacia wood is gorgeous and gives it a premium look.Playability: Smooth fretwork and comfortable neck profile right out of the box. Cons / Considerations:Solid Wood Care: Because it features beautiful solid wood, it is more sensitive to climate changes than a laminate uke, so you will need to monitor humidity levels.

I am a tinkererer, I bout this brand on purpose after watching YouTube tube. Also after ordering a kala begginer package for 100 dollars more and having a buzz on the b string i couldn't get rid of.. ill never do kala again. Caremel all.day long for the price vs what you get. Hands down goes to caremel. I been playing guitar for 30.yrs. my hands cramp so.i.wanted to.try a baritone uke. Ive also prepared guitars for years. Out of the package these ukes are absolutely the same as the kala brand. Not set up and need tinkering. Adjusting and the right strings. They are nearly all laminate, not solid tone wood. But that just means the wull last longer and are more durable without worry. Thats how they cut the cost. Trust me The wood sounds and looks great. If it doesnt sound the way you want change the saddle and strings. Amazing quality for the the price:) My only gripe is i wish they would do more satin models. .oh and change the headstock brand to a symbol. Caremel doesnt sound Hawaiian or pacific. I sand the branding off anyhow so it doesnt matter. But a symbol would be better. Get yourself a caremel, it melts your heart... Lol.... Seriously, cheesy name and tagging aside. They make some quality laminate ukes. They take alot of love and setting up. Bit if u know what ur doing youll.get a great sound. And honestly right out the box youll.get a great sound. And if your pickup or preamp doesnt work. Im.sure they will.replace it. But the things are 15 bucks on amazon and easy to install. Sorry for rambling. This uke.has become something I live dearly and wouldnt ever part with. I ordered the 100 dollar more entry level acoustic electric kala first...... Im.giving it to my 90.yr old grandma for her birthday. Ill.keep.my Caremel:)

A good buy considering the price, and what's included in the package. Besides the baritone ukulele, it comes with an ukulele wall hanger, ukulele strap, pick up cable, picks, 2 extra bridge pins, a cloth, a soft bag to carry/store the ukulele, an extra set of strings, although the extra strings are for the tenor or smaller ukuleles :(, a tool to help change out the bridge pins, and truss rod tool. The baritone ukulele is not solid acacia. It's thin wood(?). The reason for the question mark is because when the ukulele was unpacked, there was a very strong chemical odor coming from it. Why the chemical smell from something that is supposed to be wood is beyond me, but I'm not going to be negative about it. The smell went away after airing out, and the instrument looks ok. Sounds okay too, not "plastiky" like some sopranos, and even better when fingerpicking. So far, the tuner and pick up work. If you plug in, remember to turn off the tuner if you don't hear sound coming from your amp. The tuner has a tiny little button on it for turning off and on. 18 frets on the board, which works fine for me. No sharp edges on the fretboard. I like the carved-in "Caramel" logo, very nice look. The ukulele also has mounted strap holders on it, one on the bottom of the ukulele, and one located on back bottom of the neck. The saddle can be easily removed since it's not mounted in. Tuners are okay, and the ukulele holds its tune. The batteries (2 - CR2032), are already installed, and go in the pickup end, but the battery case cover is extremely difficult to open. I also bought a tenor ukulele at the same time from this company and encountered the exact same problem with the battery cover. The D string already came unwound at the end, but I intend to change out the strings anyway. I can live with the minor flaws, and although I wouldn't buy this for any professional player, this baritone has some nice features, and the best being the low action. It is very easy to play, and would make a nice gift for someone if you change out the pickup with battery case.

Very good for the money, it sounds good, plays well the installed equalizer works real well through the amp and the volume controls are very wide as well as the tone controls, exceptional for an economy instrument. I've used it twice in public it works, it's beautiful and I like it. The strap is nice and the strap fittings are a nice addition and makes it easy to put together the strap is good quality. I can't say enough nice things about this, recommended it is
