Powerful and easy to use.

I received mi item this morning, it came with 83% charge, so I put it to charge to 100%. My battery was totally dead and just turned on the charger put black and red cables on and right away the light turned green, so I pushed start and for my amazement, my car started right away with out a hinge! Great little thing! The only con is that the description of the charger said it came with a storage bag, but it doesn’t. Nothing to store it.

Long story short do not buy this jump box... absolutely terrible experience, the jump box at least turned on when I first got it to test it out, kept it in a waterproof case on my boat for emergencies and my boat battery died right at dusk. I went to plug the cables into the box to jumpstart my battery and all I get is beeping and it has been this way ever since left me stranded on my boat in the dark with no bow light or stern light for three hours while I waited for boat u.s. tow.

An ok budget priced jump starter

I have a NOCO jump starter which I like very much and which gets great reviews on Amazon. I got this for a second car we have. I will compare this thing to the NOCO. The first this that struck me is how light this is. These jump starters are basically a Lithium Ion battery with some additional circuitry for charging, controlling the light and other functions. It is advertised as capable of supplying 5000A of charging current. Frankly, I believe this claim is exaggerated. The NOCO unit I have is about the same size and it is rated at 1000A charging capacity. I don't know if it's because of it's light weight, but the thing feels very flimsy. The case feels cheap. The NOCO's case is much sturdier and it's waterproof to boot. This one isn't. As far as the booster clamps go again, the NOCO's clamps are very substantial, with copper running the length of the handles. The plastic and spring tension on the NOCO's are substantial as well. The clamps on this again, feel flimsy. The NOCO comes with a storage sleeve and a 12 volt car adapter (which you can buy anywhere), this unit comes with neither This is something you would need in an emergency and you would want to feel confident about it starting your car, I don't know if I feel that way about this. This costs about $60, the NOCO about $100 (less on Prime day which is when I got mine), personally I would got for the extra money and get the NOCO.
