Canon's own documentation is contradictory as it advises that "Wireless printing and scanning requires a working network with wireless 802.11b/g/n capability, operating at 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz", but the printer itself is only capable of 2.4GHz operation. Keep that in mind when purchasing. Amazon should really add a better specification section for electronic goods. Would have tried Bluetooth for the family PCs that are going to connect to it, but there doesn't seem to be a PC Bluetooth option. I read the reviews about setting up the printer and braced myself after I bought it. And let me tell you, the reviews were correct!!!!! It made no sense how long it took to set up the WiFi. The worst part about setting up the WiFi is it kept stating to follow the instructions but THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR WIFI SET UP!!!!!! Through much hair pulling and process of elimination, I finally was able to get it connected. The one tear of satisfaction was still did not ease my stress. Poor quality. It said All in 1. Would not scan. The website said to install the driver disc. There was not one. Tech support is non existent. The aito phone would just hang up over and over. I went online, registered and tried online. It said tech support is closed. Horrible

I needed an affordable wireless printer for home use. Have only had this printer a few days, but so far it is working perfectly for my needs. Set up was easy and quick through their online instructions. Have only printed from my iPad so far. It will automatically default to color print unless you select grayscale in the app. The lower paper tray is a bit less sturdy than the lower paper tray on my 2 previous Canon Pixma printers, but it is working just fine. Have only printed in grayscale so far, but print quality is great. Touchscreen is small but functional. Overall am very happy so far. ... show more

Printer worked great once I figured out how to set it up with the WIFI. If you run into issues like that I highly recommend googling what to do as the Canon site was not helpful. Besides connecting to the WIFI this printer was super easy to set up and worked great! I have it in a small apartment and it does not take up a lot of room. The printer also comes with black and color ink. Although the printer was said to not arrive for 1-2 months, I got it in a week! ... show more

So far so good. I was worried about some of the reviews concerning setup. I have to admit. It was bit of P.I.A. to set up wireless. After many times of trying through website. I just did it manually from the touch screen. It worked. Printing wirelessly from 3 Macs.

I didn't have a printer because I've never set up a wireless device and I thought it would be too hard to do. But the step-by-step instructions online were excellent, and I had it working the first time. The oonly complaint I have is that it will only make color copies, I can't get it to use the black-and-white cartridge. The other thing I don't like is there is no reference to use to buy another cartridge, and there are so many too choose from. ... show more
