We had high expectations for this printer, but unfortunately, it proved to be a disappointment. Despite spending an hour unpacking it, loading ink, attempting to add paper, and navigating a lengthy start-up process, we encountered significant issues with paper loading. The printer failed to auto-load the paper correctly, even after multiple attempts. The process involves inserting the paper into a difficult-to-locate & not visible slot and waiting for a beep, indicating that it should auto-load. Instead, the printer made various movements and noises before displaying an error message, followed by a loud banging noise from the feed gears, ultimately leading to a complete lock-up. Repeated attempts to load the paper, each taking around 12 minute in each reload cycle, 2 hours later it did not resolve the issue. The support provided was unhelpful, as it required sending videos and pictures of the paper-loading process from different angles, seemingly to imply user error. The printer’s sensitivity and the complexity of the paper-loading process make it impractical for a busy office environment. It is not suitable for our needs due to its poor design and unreliable performance. ... show more

Thank you Canon for multifunction capabilities! I'll admit I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger on this multifunctional plotter as there are few reviews and little data. Happy, excited and glad we did after only a couple of weeks I am so impressed with it's capabilities. Perfect machine for small office Architect and printing old subdivision maps. Pairs perfectly with Chief Architect and prints Ray Traced images nicely. With being able to electronically file completed plan sets we don't need to print as many paper sets which has been the hesitation for investing in a plotter but this little Gem fits the bill. Pint dialog takes a little getting used to but that is only based on having so much functionality. I do wish it had an out feed table for top sheets but it's a small compromise. HighlyRecommend! Total nightmare !! Within 1 month ,stop working . After hours with customer service over 2 months and new parts mailed we gave up and bought a 2nd one and retuned the 1st . 3 weeks another major issue , called a local repair guy , 3 hrs and $550 later it works .. he said this a terrible machine and the get calls on them all the time . That the HP is much better starting around $900 , he also said that if you bought from a local shop they offer warranties that are much easier to send out repair guys. These plotters are known to always kinda have issues so if you get a plotter, buy one from your local store and get the extended service warranty. ... show more

I have wanted to be able print documents and photos that are bigger than a 8.5x11 inch size. This printer will print on paper as wide as 24 inches. (Using the roll paper feed). Up to 11x17 inch cut sheet paper can also be used. Printed output looks very good. The only downside is that the optional print paper catching sling/basket is not available. You have to be ready to catch the output paper or it will end up on the floor. (You can also turn on to manually cut the paper but that will limit you to only printing one page.) I will need to setup something to keep the prints off of the floor until the optional baskets are offered again. ... show more

I bought this machine Dec 25, 2023. It is extremely difficult to load media. Out of frustration and disappointment the machine is just sitting there on a table being unproductive. I need someone to tell my why the machine keeps saying paper jam or paper not detected. Those are the 2 messages I have been receiving. . .OR EVEN BETTER, may I return it please. ... show more
