Great pots. Surface does not scratch. Heavy pots damage each other if not using separators. Slow to heat because so thick. Warp on high heat of electric. But go back to flat when cooled.

I bought this for my wife. She loves the set. Stacks perfectly in our cupboard. The vessels heat evenly and quickly. The nonstick surfaces allow us to use less oil and they clean in a snap. The reason for the 4 stars is that the 6 quart stock pot is not perfectly round - has a flat spot. I contacted Calphalon to initiate a warranty replacement. They opened a case and asked for pictures. It remains to be seen if they replace the vessel, pay for return shipping costs, and how quickly they ship a replacement. I will update this review and increase the points depending on how they respond. Update: I called Calphalon Customer Service. The person I spoke with was very courteous and professional. She apologized for the problem I was having with the 6 quart stock pot. After reviewing the pictures I emailed to them she initiated a replacement stating that she will personally monitor the case to make sure that the replacement is promptly sent to me. She did not require that I ship the defective pot back to Calphalon. I am therefore increasing my point score from 4 to 5 since Calphalon stands behind its product, has outstanding customer service, increasing my confidence in the lifetime warranty that this set comes with. ... show more

I was ready to spend some money and get nice pots and pans instead of throwing away a set every 3 years. I read lots of reviews. So here is my impression after one month of use. They are heavy. I'm not weak but it is a chore to lift them with one hand, thankfully most of them have a second small handle BUT the handles get hot. I guess I was use to puts with non metal handles. Just be sure and have done pot holders always close. I'm still undecided about the lids. They are kind of cool with the glass tops but food, steam and grease penetrate between the glass and the rim making it hard to clean. I noticed the first time I made spaghetti, thetr was a red ring of sauce that was hard to wash out. Also you need pot holders for the handles. As to the stackable convenience, they do stack but I worry about scratching the finish on the pans both inside and out. Now to cooking with them. I love it! I am using way less oil to cook with. Nothing has stuck so far that I couldn't clean right out. ... show more
