Purchased this pan set 4 months ago and use several times a week. I have one Calphalon pan that I have used for 15 years and loved it. That is what led me to purchase this set. This set is just as wonderful and I expect will last me a life time. I have had no problems with food sticking or the coating coming off. I have noticed that I need to reduce the heat with these pans from what I was accustom. These pans hold and distribute the heat very well. My mother in law decided to use a metal fork on a Calphalon non-stick set I had ruining the frying pans. I fell in love with the look of these, and continue to cook more so I can use them. I absolutely love these pans, they heat up evenly to cook well and the clean up is a breeze with that ceramic non-stick. I wanted to try out the "new ceramic" skillets, hoping they would replace my Teflon ones. While I like Teflon, it does require care to maintain the non-stick cooking ability. But, ALL Teflon peels at some point. The thought of eating Teflon doesn't appeal to me -- hence the desire to try the new ceramic skillets. The only cookware I found better than Caphalon is ALL Clad, which is extremely expensive. My result : I have been converted from Teflon to Ceramic. As with any cooking equipment, especially skillets, pots, and pans, my father, who was a professional chef offered this tip for the care of cookware, especially if it exspensive cookware .-- DO NOT WASH IN ANY COOKWARE IN A DISHWASHER. "Take the time to care for your cookware." For a skillet, he said, "Before 1st use -- Hand-wash in warm to hot (not boling hot) soapy water, rinse well, and rub in some cooking grease, such as Crisco. He said you will feel a drag at first, but the more you rub it in, eventually the drag will be replaced by a slick surface." Handwash, Handwash, Handwash. Never wash any cookware or plastic storage containers in a dishwasher. ... show more

These were great at first, but after about 8 months everything sticks to them. They have lost all semblance of nonstick. I thought these would last longer than a cheap set from a box store, but that is not the case. If anything they lost their nonstick properties faster than the cheaper alternatives. I think t he quality of the pan is great. I've not had them for long, so I can't talk about what they'll be like in a few years, but they're very non-stick (as most pans like this are), and they're quite heavy-duty without being overly heavy. That said, if you're used to the $12 pan from the dollar store, these will likely be heavier than those. My issue with these pans is that they're fairly tall and the sides are very straight and vertical. Pans like these that I've had in the past had more of an 'S' shape to the sides, with them bending back outwards as they get near the lip. This makes it very easy to plate fried eggs, or omelets without the need for a spatula. I just tip the pan up some and the eggs slide out. With these pans, you almost *have* to have a spatula to get them out. If you just try tipping the pan far enough, the eggs will collapse on themselves. ... show more

I had a set of Calphalon pans that were great until they weren't. So I decided to order another set of Calphalon because I was highly impressed with the first set that lasted around 6 years. I know they have a lifetime warranty but I did not feel like going through the hassle of a warranty claim and returning. I ordered these premier ceramic nonstick and I am thoroughly impressed. The coating is much better than the standard Calphalon and it appears to be a much more robust and durable ceramic coating. I have used the egg pan to make the perfect eggs and the larger frying pan a few times and nothing sticks and it's super easy to clean. I like being able to transition from stovetop to oven in a Flash without having to worry about anything melting. Calphalon makes a great product with a great warranty if you use it.
