I looked at this lamp for two weeks before ordering it. I have several lampshades that have similar designs and liked the shade, but lamps at this price point are usually made of metal, not iron...even if they say iron in the description. THIS IS THE REAL THING - IRON. It is beautifully made; sturdy; easy to assemble and is the right height for several areas in my apartment. If you are on the fence about buying this lamp because you are sick of cheap metal lamps with even cheaper lampshades - BUY THIS. It is all about quality.     • Gorgeous Floor Lamp - Priced Right!
I saw this exact same lamp while shopping in a medium to high-end, independent furniture store (i.e. not a chain store where everything is cookie cutter style), and fell in love with it. It was priced at a bit more than I wanted to pay for a floor lamp so I wrote the model number down and decided to think about it for a few days. I checked Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had it and the price was $40 less than what the furniture store was asking - plus free shipping - so I decided to order it and cross my fingers that it really was the same lamp I saw in the store. It just arrived today (less than 48 hours after I ordered it!!!!) - I put it together in a matter of minutes, stuck a light bulb in and am absolutely thrilled with my purchase. Everything is sturdy and well made - right from the base and "stem" down to the on/off pull chain. The shade is very unique which is one of the things that attracted me - it's made of rice paper with a subtle leaf pattern embedded in it. Highly recommend this! ... show more

This is a very nice looking lamp, and easy to assemble. Even though it came in a few pieces, once assembled, it is very sturdy. The shade that came with it is a very good quality, and I like how muted the leaf design appeared when lit.

The lamp is very nice and high quality, but the lamp shade was disappointing as it is very dark when lit and the leaves do not show through.

    • Lamp is crooked but too pesky to return
The lamp arrived in fine shape, but the threads that screw it together must be crooked. I have tried to detach and reattach the segments a few times and it never looks straight. My husband threw out the box already so it can't be returned. I'm sad.
