these are great for camping and can be stowed away in your travel trailer or pickup anywhere. They are sturdy. Normally we put a rock in the bottom of the can to keep it from blowing away until there is enough garbage in there to hold it down. We have one for garbage and one for recycling so makes cleanup nice and easy when its time to go home. ... show more

I like the product overall but it could use a few simple design changes. Once you put a bag in it and overlap the edges you can no longer zipper the top so the garbage bag has to sit inside and you have to fold the garbage bag inside and then close and zipper the lid. kind of a pain.... it would be a better design if there was an inside lip that you could attach the garbage bag onto to keep the garbage more easily accessible and allow you to still zipper the lid. The overall sturdiness is good. Also if it had a loop on it to allow it to be easily attached to something so that it doesn't blow away. we use a bungee cord around it and attach it to our trailer or outdoor table but this is again a simple design fix that would make this product a bit nicer to use. I use this for my empties to being to the beer store. Have t taken it camping yet but I see no issues with it. I’m positive it will hold up for camping

Let me give you a short story. During our last camping trip we had zipped up our Coghlans garbage bin, but forgot to store it away before bed. We were woken up at 4am by a group of raccoons who had dragged the garbage bin, trying to get in it. Not only did they not get in to it, but there was 0 damage left behind to it. These bags are not thick by any means, they are thick like tarp and sturdy for holding garage bags and garbage which is what we use them for when camping. They are light weight and we do put a rock on the bottom to hold it down when we can in the mountains and it can be windy. They have been very durable and held up. Only 4 *s for the lack of clips to hold a bag inside. Otherwise exactly what we wanted for camping for outside garbage and recycling bins. Easy to fold away at the end of a trip.
