  • Excellent buy for the price!
Style: Black, 10x25mm Pattern: Binocular
So, after researching many binoculars options I finally purchased these. My criteria were that the binoculars had to be small (compact), lightweight, powerful, rugged, and relatively inexpensive (under $100 bucks). The Bushnell H2O Waterproof met all my requirements and expectations. I intend to take these backpacking with me (thus the compact, rugged, and lightweight criteria). They seem to be well-built as well. The waterproofing is an added extra bonus for me. The optics are excellent. Perfect for distance viewing. Objects (animals and people) approximately 100 yards away were large and clear. These are an excellent buy for the price. Incidentally, I also purchased the "HUTACT Binoculars Compact, 10x25" on Amazon for comparison. Although the Hutact is comparable to the Bushnell H20 in size and weight, they are not waterproof or rugged. The build quality is similar to the Bushnell and the optics are identical. I couldn't tell the difference between the two optics (Bushnell vs. Hutact). The major "pro" for buying the Hutact is the price, they are almost half the price of the Bushnell H20. Definitely worth it if you don't need waterproof or rugged binoculars. Bushnell is a name brand and may have better customer service if issues arise so that may also be a selling point if price isn’t an issue. I have included a couple of photos for comparison between the Bushnell and Hutact. Everything you see with each binocular comes with them. The Bushnell comes with a nice strap and the Hutact has an attached shoestring style strap (not visible in photos). For a size comparison to a common household object, both of these binoculars are about the size of a regular computer desktop mouse. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Small but Powerful
Style: Black, 10x25mm Pattern: Binocular
So small and compact; they are very easy to carry. Very easy to focus and the image is sharp and clear. I would definitely buy another pair of binoculars made by Bushnell.

  • Good purchase. Nice piece of outdoor equipment.
Style: Black, 10x25mm Pattern: Binocular
Firstly, I am not an optics expert. From a layman's perspective, these binoculars are much better than expected. I bought these for scouting ahead when I am hiking and camping by myself (routing). That said, I have also looked at wildlife at my rest stops (birds, deer, squirrels), and these have served me very well. I have used $1000 military binos with everything under the sun in them when I was in the service. Maybe if you need excellent low light capability, or a wide FOV for scouting areas for combat situations these may not fit the bill. But honestly these are alright. They are bright (although I live in Southern California), compact (not a monocle but come on), give a clear image, and seem robust (I don't spike them or anything). I think they focus well and my pair did not come with any of the defects or visual artifacts reported by other reviewers (maybe I was one of the lucky ones).Either way, I expect these will be in my load as long as I can fit them. Buy with confidence. PS: The bag it come with is pretty flimsy. Minimal thought put into it. Its padded and all, but I wouldn't trust the belt loop for anything. ... show more

  • A Pretty Good Value
Style: Black, 10x25mm Pattern: Binocular
So I have in the past bought several pairs of inexpensive binoculars and in each case I was disappointed with what I got. Usually the vision quality was lacking or they were hard to adjust which resulted in double vision. I'm happy to say these compact binoculars do not have these problems and I am very pleased with them. The anti-fog and waterproofing justify the extra price and the improved vision seals the deal for me. Good job Bushnell! ... show more

  • Awesome Compact Binoculars - See comparison with Tasco Essential from a normal dude below!
Style: Black, 10x25mm Pattern: Binocular
If you consider yourself a binocular connoisseur then this review is not for you. This review is for normal everyday people who are simply looking for a good reliable pair of binoculars that won't break the bank. Prior to purchasing these I didn't have any knowledge as to what makes a binocular "good" or "bad". I was looking for a compact binocular that I could keep in my hiking bag, that was small enough to lug around and strong enough to see a cool looking bird or seal or loch ness monster in the distance. I purchased these two products to compare: This item at $40 Bushnell H2O Waterproof Compact Roof Prism 10 x 25-mm AND This item at $18 Tasco Essentials 12x 25mm Roof Prism Compact Binocular (Black) I was originally planning on returning one of the two dependent upon which one worked better. I can honestly say the Bushnell H20 the PERFECT compact binocular for my needs. The image is clear and the focus is easy to adjust. It comes with a handy carrying case and neck strap (all I need). The holes in which you place your eyes are sturdy and you truly get a wide range in view. The Tasco's has a small issue with black circles around your view when you look through them. The Bushnell is fully waterproof and is definitely made with higher quality materials than the Tasco (you get what you pay for) . In addition, when looking through the lenses the Bushnell's definitely give you a bit more of a wider view (without the black circles like the Tasco). Both pairs are the PERFECT size to keep in my pack. All in all - this item is an amazing item and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I am going to be keeping the Tascos for my girlfriend, because the Bushnell's are just a bit better when it comes to image and material quality. ... show more

  • Did not meet expectations
Style: Black, 10x25mm Pattern: Binocular
These were not quite as clear and bright as I expected. Also the adjustment wheel developed about 20* of free play, which made adjustments more difficult. I returned these and bought a pair of the Nikon Trailblazer ATB 10X25 waterproof binoculars. They cost about 2X more (additional $40) but they are considerably brighter and somewhat clearer than the Bushnells. I had both for a short period of time so I could do a side-by-side comparison. The Nikon optics appear to be much better than the Bushnells. Well worth the additional $40. ... show more
