After looking at multiple pairs of binoculars on amazon, I finally ordered three pair to see how I liked them. I ordered this pair, a larger pair by Bushnell (10X42) , and a pair by Occur (12X25). This pair is easy to adjust so that you can get them into focus quickly. The view through this pair is clearer than the Occur, and the Occur just didn't adjust as easily to bring the view into focus quickly. The Bushnell (10X42) was nice view. They let in more light than this pair, but the Bushnell (10X42) were just so heavy that I don't think they will work for me. I am really looking for a pair of binoculars that are lightweight enough that I can carry them with me while hiking or kayaking. If they are too heavy to carry, I'm not going to get very much use out of them. This pair is compact, and lightweight, so I'm going to be happy to carry them with me where ever I go. I'm not crazy about the strap, but hope I adjust to it. I do like the soft sided case that comes with these binoculars. I'm sure I will get a lot of use with them and enjoy them very much! I forgot our Nikon Pair at home so ordered these after some brief browsing on Amazon and I am SO HAPPY with them!! The butterflies have been abundant and I feel I can get a clear view and they are so compact and perfect for in a purse or pocket for travel. I’m thinking of getting another pair. I have been careful of the eyepieces due to reviews. Only had them a couple days but so happy I ordered them and they delivered the next day so now I have the rest of my trip to use them!! We have 2 pairs of these and love them. We live by the beach and keep a pair in our beach bag to spot boats, birds and dolphins. We purchased a 2nd pair so we could take both on our recent Alaskan cruise. Great price point and sharp view!

My husband and I are going on an Alaskan cruise this summer so we each want our own pair of compact binoculars, and we don’t want to spend a lot of money. We were deciding between these and the Occer 12x25 binoculars so we bought them both. The Occer were less expensive at $30 while Bushnell were $57.97. The 10x Bushnell had better zoom and let in more light than the 12x Occer and the Bushnell folded up more compact. We ended up by returning the Occer and buying a second pair of these Bushnell binoculars. If you are trying to decide between two binoculars, go with a brand you have heard of that has been around for years. ... show more

So I have in the past bought several pairs of inexpensive binoculars and in each case I was disappointed with what I got. Usually the vision quality was lacking or they were hard to adjust which resulted in double vision. I'm happy to say these compact binoculars do not have these problems and I am very pleased with them.
