FDAEP17 for a6500: The original was a little loose, I don't know why. I lost it (after 5 years) while I was out taking pictures. This replaces it and fits better, tighter. So, good.

The edge near the eye is rubbery, but it’s still a hard, tough rubber. It’s moderately softer than the JJC brand, though. I am very satisfied with it. If I had any suggestion for improvement, it might be nice to have softer rubber, but it’s pretty good for such a low-profile eyepiece.

    • Slides right on, perfect fit, price was good enough that I tried it.
It is the exact same one that came with the a6400, if you wear glasses, lousy! If not, it works well, keeps some light out , if you wear glasses like I do, at least it keeps your glasses from being scratched.

    • Why is this not the stock eyecup?
Honestly, for the a6400 with its stock flat eye "thing" is just useless. With this eyecup, it's possible to rest the area around your eye on something soft and block more light from the environment entering your eye. The screen is still flippable though you lose a small bit of the right corner in vlogging mode if you bring the screen completely up (just push the screen back slightly to see the entire screen). If you don't know, this thing snaps on over the stock eyecup. You don't have to remove anything. ... show more
