This bunkie board was a simple upgrade for my son’s metal bed frame. He didn’t want to switch to a different bed, but the mattress would sink in certain areas when kneeling or putting weight on parts of the frame due to the slats underneath. The board comes in two folding sections (upper and lower) that simply unfold and lay across the bed frame. Installation is straightforward and takes just a few minutes. The only confusing part was the strap instructions, which aren’t very clear. The trick is to remove the square ring, run the bottom strap under the rail and the top strap over the rail, then place the ring back over both straps on the outside of the rail before tightening them so they stick to themselves. Once secured, the boards stay in place. The two panels can overlap slightly in the center, although once the mattress is on top everything stays positioned well. Support is excellent. I even knelt directly on the board without the mattress while installing the last strap, and it held my weight without any issues (I weigh over 200 lbs). With the mattress on top, it completely eliminated the sagging spots we had before. Overall, this is a very sturdy and effective solution for adding support to a slatted bed frame, and it makes the mattress feel much more stable.

Anyone who has ever slept on a pullout sofabed or a bunk bed with metal bars know the pain left behind. We love bunkie boards we carry them with us when we travel for hotel sleeper sofa and we have put this set on my daughters bunk bed. It provides a great firm foundation and lots of support. There is no sagging of the mattress between the bars. It also makes changing sheets easier they have a place to tuck and stay in place. These are well made strong boards. Super easy to use no fuse just unfold and lay down under the mattress. The price fantastic well worth it for the benefit you get out of them, which is a more comfortable less painful sleep.

I ordered this Bunkie Board to help my mattress last longer and to give it extra support especially with three dogs that jump in bed with me on a nightly basis. This is my second Bunkie Board. Currently, I have one on another bed in my home. The one main difference with this Bunkie Board is that this one comes with straps so that you can attach to a metal bed frame (foundation) which I do not have, but this Bunkie Board will still serve its purpose. This new Bunkie Board is being used on a bed with an old box spring and a bed skirt over top of it. I just tucked in the straps. I did notice that when I went to put the mattress on top of the Bunkie Board, it did make my heavy mattress much easier to maneuver which is a real plus! Overall, I am very pleased with this Bunkie Board.

This is strong even though it is surprisingly thinner than what I anticipated. I am used to very thick bunkie boards but this one still delivers and does the job well. It is strong and what it is made out of keeps it light so you’re not having to lift and move something super heavy. I am happy with this as it supports the mattress and keeps it firm all flat all the way across the support beams of my platform. I like how it doesn’t give the mattress added height more than a fraction amount.
