I wanted to reduce the height of my KS bed, so I added these base boards in place of the box springs. I like the change. Easy to install. The base boards lay flat on the slats. There’s no movement or discomfort. The boards seem to be made of a stiff card board covered with a plastic coating. The slats take up the mattress and body weight, so I can’t tell the sturdiness of the base boards, but they do protect the mattress bottom. I caught these boards on sale for less than $80.

This was exactly what I was looking for it’s a 10/10 for me. I purchased a metal box foundation for my queen guest bed. However, I didn’t want the metal to mess up my mattress and this board frame gave the perfect support needed for my mattress. My metal foundation already came with a cover, so it keeps the boards in place from not moving around. I would recommend to buy a cover for any foundation to keep the boards in place from not moving around if you don’t already have one. The price was perfect this was the cheapest one I found. It was so easy to install only took me a minute. I’m sure this will last me a long time very sturdy.

Got this to go on top of our slatted platform bed as the last mattress we had was a super cheap one from Amazon and didn’t last super long and I think a good part of it had to do with our slat distance. This goes wonderfully across the platform and has rubber things to help it not slide around on the platform. It fits great on the platform and is solid. Very easy if you need to move as the king came in two pieces and they fold up very nicely. They’re not heavy but it is actual wood inside I was worried it was going to be like glorified cardboard but it is pretty heavy duty without weighing a lot

Edited the review below after using if for a few weeks. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Price was good. Fit: Terrible fit. Board is supposed to be 60x80 queen and not only pleasure 57 x 78 leaving gaps. There is a strong odor. It might be the cover over the board but we can’t tell. Smelled it right away when we took it out of the plastic. I can’t place what it smells like but it is not pleasant. Maybe it is the non-slip dots. I am hoping it goes away. If not I will have to return it. It’s not pleasant. So far we have just stuck the board on the bed and then the mattress. Tried it out for a few minutes and seems to do the job. I’ll update review once we use it for a while. *Edit - the smell has went away. The board not fitting the frame is causing the mattress to shift and also causing the board to migrate out from under the mattress. Almost every other day I have to put the boards back and every day I have to push the mattress back.
