For the right need this is a nice little mini chainsaw. It was originally as shown in the photo for about $50. There is now a larger and more expensive item pictured for this item, so my review is based on the green one shown. I also have not yet used it to cut brush, just tested it out and inspected it. The good: This little chainsaw comes in a case with 3 blades and two 20v batteries with charger. (It also comes with cotton gloves and safety glasses that might be beneficial for those who don't already have better versions in their garage or shop.) It is lightweight. My wife who is normally terrified of any "manly" power tool actually hefted it and said she thought she could use it. It seems like it could be helpful for small branches and brush. I have land that grows a lot of wild brush, and a large chainsaw is too big for brush, but my 4-cycle trimmer, even with a blade installed, is not usually enough. My go-to tool for the brush has been a battery-powered reciprocating saw, but it is heavy, whereas this mini chainsaw looks like it will be more convenient. The not so good: The model I received today took more than 2 weeks to arrive, even with Prime. The model that I received is already gone from Amazon, replaced with a newer yellow model, so likely no warranty or service for this one. It does come with a brief manual, but the translation is sloppy. There are no serviceable parts. This is stated in the manual, so consider this another piece of disposable Chinese junk. I don't know if the batteries are of a standard type and can be replaced once they die. It is small and lightweight, but that can be a good or bad thing depending on your needs. Don't expect to chop down trees with it. It does not arrive lubricated or with the chain adjusted properly, so be sure to oil and adjust it yourself. All in all, I'll give it a try and use it until I can't. I would recommend it to someone who needs to cut brush or small branches, but apparently this mini chainsaw isn't available any more, so never mind. (Full disclosure - I received this item as an Amazon Vine reviewer, but my review is 100% honest, objective, and based on actual use of the item.)

This kit is pretty decent for the price! You get the chainsaw, two batteries, two extra chains, a charger, safety glasses and some gloves, all packed into a nice storage/carry case. The batteries are lithium, so you can charge them up and store them and they'll hold charge for quite a while, so you don't have to keep them topped up and charging. The chainsaw has a handguard (with a hole for hanging on a screw if you want to store it that way). Operation is easy with the trigger, and there is a thumb safety. There's also a guard on top of the blade as well. I've attached a picture so you can get an idea of the size in a hand. The batteries came with a charge, so of course I took this for a spin immediately :). I'd recently done some tree trimming around the yard and had a good pile of branches to play with. With thinner branches (1/2" or so), the blade doesn't quite spin fast enough to keep from bouncing off the branch unless you have it anchored at both ends. For branches from 1" to 2" that are a bit more fixed, this saw cuts through pretty well with no issues. I did not try much larger than 2", as I think that's more suited for a bigger chainsaw. For reducing the pile of branches I had to sizes that fit in the fire pit though, this worked pretty well. For trimming branches, it works fine if you are closer to the trunk so one end of the branch is pretty fixed, but if the branch can move a lot this will bounce a bit. That is for smaller branches as noted above, for anything closer to 1 1/2" or more it locks in just fine. For smaller branches it's better to use a manual trimmer I think. I ran it for about 15 minutes or so of somewhat continuous use (just pauses between branches) and it ran just fine, didn't feel a lot of heat around the motor or have any trouble with the chain. This does not self-lubricate, so you'll want a little bottle of chain oil/grease to lube the track before using every now and then while using. That, surprisingly, is the only item they didn't include in the kit. No biggie though, everything else you need is there, even a little screwdriver for adjusting the chain tension. Good kit overall, great for breaking down branches where you don't need the big chainsaw but want something more than a hand trimmer. The accessories included make this a pretty decent deal, I think. I'll update if I have issues or it breaks; I've got a bit more tree trimming to do so I'll put this to work some more. Good buy!
