Nice looking cross bars. Fit properly on the 2018 Atlas. They do not generate any noticeable noise at high speed and I do not notice any change in the fuel mileage when I leave them on. The only problem is the holes for the screws to adjust the width are threaded in the aluminum directly, and are a little fragile. Can't be beat for the price! Gave it 4 stars for sturdiness because flat washers (5 cents) should be provided for the screws that go into the slots and not because they are not strong enough for the rated capacity. Mounting was extremely easy (didn't even read the instructions). I assembled the bars with the slot screws snug. I found the positions I wanted by push/pull the adjustable clamp and then tightened the 4 slot screws. The clamps were easy too. Just slide them under, align them, clamp with your hand and the screw threaded hole will fall under the upper clamp screw hole. 60 minutes from opening the box to finish. ... show more

We’ve used this rack on multiple trips. It fit perfect and works really well to mount our Yakima Skybox on. I’d buy this any day over the OEM rack.

I bought this for my 2019 Atlas a little over 5 months ago to replace the factory ones which were tall and boxy. I really wanted to get a name brand set but needed them within a week and this set was one of the few that could be delivered prior to the road trip. Figured for what these cost, I could trash them when we got back if they were junk. I definitely made a good choice on this set! I installed these early October 2021 and haven't taken them off since. They look better than factory and are holding up great. I would recommend these to anyone that has a Volkswagen Atlas. THESE ARE NOT MADE FOR ATLAS CROSS SPORT. The Cross Sport has a different roofline so these will not fit properly. Pros: - Easy installation if you measure the distance according to the manufacturer's instructions for the car. - I have an XL Carrier and we loaded it to the max and had zero issues. I definitely like the lower profile of these cross racks versus the factory Volkswagen ones I had. - Minimal noise at 18 or 80 MPH. No whistling or anything else for the most part- exception being ice buildup. Didn't really see a decline in MPG with these on. - They actually look pretty decent and held up to an entire NY winter (road salt, ice, etc.) Cons: - The only time I have experienced any noise from these inside the car is when there is a lot of ice on the roof. Simple fix was to just go to the car wash and spray the roof off really quick and problem solved. ... show more

Crossbars are lightweight and look good. Do yourself a favor and swap out the 4 long Allen head screws for a hex cap screws. Costs a couple dollars but saves you a fat headache

I’m so happy with these cross bars. I didn’t want to pay $500 for the factory bars which I’ve heard mixed reviews on. I just wanted something simple that looked good and was cheap. These were perfect! I haven’t had a chance to actually put anything on them yet so I can’t comment on functionality. But otherwise, I really like the low profile and that they were so inexpensive. They were pretty easy to install. The only thing is that you have to move them around a little to try and find a good spot that won’t create any wind noise. It took some adjusting but I finally found a good placement where I don’t hear anything at all! I would highly recommend these if you’re looking for something simple for your atlas. ... show more

Bought these for my wifes VW Atlas which we planned to take on a mountain trip. Mountain a roof basket to it with a cargo bag with bags loaded in it and the bars did their job with no issues. Overall, they seem to be a good value especially when compared to the factory crossbars which cost significantly more and also sit up much higher. ... show more

Im honestly impressed with these. I expected these to be an ok set based on the price, but I have zero complaints. Super easy to install. Not sure what others are complaining about only being able to position at certain points on the rails. There are 2 adjustment screws on the underside that allow you to adjust the length. Front one fit perfect, ended up lengthening the rear one a tad so I could move it to where i needed for my ski rack. Driven at highway speed for a week now with zero wind noise. I have the pano roof and it opens with no interference from the racks. ... show more
