I initially got this to try to brighten up a closet. However, like the product title describes, this LED light is best used for under the cabinet. It’s definitely bright enough to light up a cabinet area but probably not for a small closet. The LED under cabinet light comes with a USB-C charge cord but no charging block that plugs into the wall. It comes with two adhesive magnetic attachments and a remote. The light charged quickly and installation was simple. You clean the surface you plan on attaching the light to, remove the adhesive backing on the metal brackets, and press to the surface. The light is very easy to remove off the magnetic metal brackets for recharging. I found the best way to attach the metal brackets to the cabinet wall is to first attach the metal brackets to the light, so they are aligned with the magnetic poles, and then press the entire light to the surface you want the light to hang. Then remove the light and let the adhesive stick for a while before reattaching the light. You just want to make sure the sensor on the light is facing towards a direction where it can actually sense movement. Using the motion sensor, the light stays on for about 30 seconds. The light is lightweight enough that I think the adhesive strips will be enough to hold it in place. However, you can also drill two screws (not included) through a hole in the metal bracket for a more secure attachment. The adhesive does not come off the metal bracket though. It would be nice if there was an option to either use the adhesive or screws, but you have to use the adhesive unless you want to scrape it off the bracket. Overall, very pleased with all the functions on this light (motion sensing, brightness and color adjustments), and it does what it’s supposed to do - brighten up a dark cabinet. ... show more

I love these rechargeable motion lights! Admittedly, this is not the first one that I've tried but certainly as good as the others I've used. This one actually comes out in front because it does include a remote control. For my purposes, I don't know why I'd ever want to use the remote control but probably useful for others. Currently, I've been using these in my pantry. Stepping into the pantry activates the light (I have on several shelves) and throws off a ton of light. I am using it in the motion mode so it turns off after 30 seconds or so. I can just wave my hand if I need it to stay on longer. This particular one is extra easy to mount. It is already metal so you just need to attach the enclosed self adhesive magnets to the spot you want the light and then the light easily sticks in place. It is quite lightweight and no worries about it falling down. It is simple to remove and easy to recharge. I've been happy with the recharge length. It varies depending on how often you trigger the light but I've gotten well over a week - up to two - on one charge. This light is also great because you can change both the brightness and color temperature. My photo shows what my pantry shelf looks like once this is illuminated in a totally dark closet. The media could not be loaded. UPDATE OCT 30, 2025 I'm sorry to report that I found a problem with this otherwise very nice under cabinet light. Specifically, the timer function on the remote does not work. Am I surprised? I can't say I am considering the budget electronics. Am I disappointed? Absolutely. Because the TIMER was one of the features I was counting on. As a result, I've lowered my original 5-star rating to 4-stars. ________________________________________ ORIGINAL POST This under cabinet LED light is far and away superior to any other model I’ve tried. For all the right reasons, as follows: ✅ The overall build is solid. Durable plastic and tight seams throughout. ✅ Smart design elements include a forward facing motion sensor and an angled light panel. The latter directs the light down and away for optimal illumination (on work surfaces) while minimizing eye strain. ✅ Soft touch control panel displays good responsiveness. It’s located on the front side of the light box making it easy to input mode and lighting changes. ✅ Features a large 4000mAh rechargeable battery that should reduce the time interval between charging cycles. ✅ Higher than average LED count, yielding a brighter than average illumination profile. ✅ Color temperature options that range from warm white to cool white. ✅ Step brightness control across 7 levels. ✅ The motion sensor displays excellent sensitivity regardless of the ambient lighting intensity. ✅ Easy magnetic installation. Adhesive metal clips are provided. ✅ Comes with a multi-functional remote control that includes timer options. This high value feature alone markedly enhances the versatility of the light. I found the operation to be flawless. ✅ Cost effective pricing translates to a value buy. I tested the motion sensor performance in a well-lit kitchen and found the response to be FAST, with good sensitivity and reproducibility out to at least 10-ft. Even when the motion was 45° off the centerline. The sensor was equally impressive in dark spaces like closets. 👍 RECOMMENDATION 👍 The light that’s emitted from this LED panel is bright, highly adjustable, and can be triggered via motion sensors or manually from the control panel or the included remote control. Considering the excellent overall performance, I find it remarkable that the price is just a penny shy of $10. That’s an incredible value that’s hard to beat.
