The rack they sent me were two different sizes?? Not sure if this was on purpose or not. But, looking at the rack on my car really bugged me seeing one rack longer then the other. (Look in the picture to see what I mean.) The install was very easy and straightforward for the most part. Be careful of the sharp edges as I cut myself sliding the top rail to center with my car. The deal break was the noise... after installing you will hear a very loud whistling noise. I mean louder then my radio blasting.... We tried to install the extra pieces to help with the noise but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. We couldn't take the noise and had to return the rack. Oh, and to add insult to the terrible experience they charge a restocking fee even tho we were well with in the 30 day return time. . I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with the headache it caused us. ... show more

    • Tricks to Install, instructions not great, product is...
So per usual, instructions are nonsense. However, its 4 bolts so dont panic. The hard parts are measure your crossbar on your vehicle as modern cars have a short width and a longer width, match your bars to front or back accordingly. The cutting of the plastic windscreens is the unique part. there is a little square peg that holds the windscreen onto the End Cap, it will not allow the entire windscreen to slide in, you will have to cut it to size with scissors. Basically have everything installed but NOT tightened all the way down, do the tightening LAST and you will get it on correctly. Also one bolt gave me trouble and when I looked closely there was a piece of rubber in the way from the car manufacturer, had to grab it with plyers and get it clear of debris. Overall, I have always purchase Thule at 3X the price, since Thule was out of stock everywhere I bought these as an emergency fix, GLAD I DID, basically the same exact rack, only the Lock Cover is not as robust, but sooo what, glad to save the money. Racks are perfectly as good as the more expensive stuff. ... show more

These crossbars for the 2017 Q7 are excellent. They look great on the vehicle and they appear to be very sturdy. I doubt if I will have any issues with bike mounts, a large cargo box, or any other roof accessory I choose to place on top. My only criticism is that above 55 mph they tend to make a slight whistling noise. It's not unbearable by any means, but as quiet as the cabin is in a Q7, you'll definitely hear wind noise. Given the purpose of crossbars, you shouldn't expect anything less. Overall a great value! ... show more

These luggage rack bars fit my 2019 Audi Q7 perfectly. The bars came with an incorrect part and the seller was VERY good about getting the correct part to me quickly. They are a bit complicated to get on but that is not the fault of the seller....and once you figure it out, the process is easy. All in all, the luggage rack bars are exactly what I needed at a very fair price, they came quickly, had great customer service so it was a good purchase. ... show more

On one of bar, the hole positions of the metal plates supposed to be one on left and one on right. See the picture. Cannot be installed without removing the cover of roof rail. Bad quality control. Update: The seller responded and sent the correct part quickly. Change the rating.

Instructions were terrrrible but we finally figured it out. I read reviews of a whistling sound. I’ve only ever heard a faint sound with the Windows open but not once heard it with the Windows up. Not sure why the front bar is longer than the back but maybe there’s something scientific to it? For the price these were definitely worth it. ... show more

    • For the love of god, fix the directions!
For infrequent users of our roof-rack, these crossbars are a great value option and look better than I thought on my 2021 Audi Q7. The only problem is that the instructions in the box are just plain horrible - ultimately, they are not hard to install, but was quite a bit of trial and error for someone not so mechanically inclined (me). Better included instructions or even something online(I looked but didn’t find any) would have made such a difference and been a real time saver! ... show more
