  • Good and cheap.
Easy way to find hot and cold spots. Good screen. Good controls. Does not connect to IPhone or iPad. Click noise happens when calibrating.

  • Not a bad unit if you don't need to rely on the temp reading
The media could not be loaded. I’ve owned 2 other thermal cameras in my day, both were iPhone attached models and still have one. Problem is I switched to Android many years back, but I saved my last iPhone 7 plus just for the thermal cam. It works OK but the problem is when I need to use them both the camera and the phone are dead so I need to wait for a charge every time. The other problem is getting the photos off the iPhone is a major PITA. I’ve been eyeballing one of these all in one units since black Friday and decided to just go for it. I saw a review of another Teslong model and it seemed pretty nice so I decided to order one. I went with this “lower res” model with 120x90 because I’m not pinpointing the smallest heat fluctuation. I want to know if my window or door is leaking or if I’ve got an old breaker that’s overheating (like in one of my images). For those tasks you just simply don’t need ultra res IR, it’s clear in the image what I need. What is needed in my opinion is the refresh rate, my iPhone one has a 10Hz rate if I remember and that is slow if you are moving. The 25Hz of this model seems very fluid and it’s not jittery. Right out of the box this just worked and was even charged up. There are also quite a few menu options, although some seem to be for the higher end model but still appear in the settings to turn on and off. I tweaked things a bit and turned off some of the distracting highlights on the screen. By default you have the center temp, the hottest point and the coldest point. The latter two can bounce all over the place causing a distraction so it’s nice they give you the option to disable some of them. There is also a built in laser pointer, which I think is more for the next model up which has a distance meter built in. I like that it’s an all in one contained unit that is ready to go in 5 or 6 seconds. I like the range of options available even if it seems some are not available on some models. I also like that the emissivity is adjustable, by default it’s .99 so you should back that down to maybe .95 for a good all around value The battery seems to last quite awhile, I’ve used it for 30+ minutes and it still shows a high level of charge. The temperatures are not accurate for my unit, at a room temp of 66ºf (as measured with a thermocouple and said FlirOne) this unit measures ~59ºf. Outside is even worse, same tools measure 37 outside but this unit says 18.7. Thats nearly 20º difference and it got worse, this morning it’s 32 but the thermal cam reads 10. For those wondering, yes I did let the cam sit outside for an hour to acclimate to reduce thermal drift. Didn’t matter, same reading warm vs cold unit. I think the bigger root of my units issues can be seen in the video. I focused the unit on the same point of my desk and started recording. The temps just start dropping all on their own then hit a 10 degree mark and the unit clicks and recalibrates and the process starts all over. I let it do this for over 10 minutes and it just keeps the same pattern up. There is no calibration feature other than the automatic one all thermal cameras have and I’ve reached out to Teslong. They responded and said they would forward to their engineers. Nearing my end of exchange with Amazon I decided to exchange it out. Well sadly it’s not much better, in fact it’s a little worse. If you ignore the temp readings they are quite similar in showing temp differences. The new unit is reading temps significantly lower than the original. They both still exhibit the temp drop and recalibration though. I’m going to keep the original and just know not to trust the temp readings. This unit is also advertised as having free PC software but the link in the manual is dead and there is no mention of software on the manufacturer's sight for this model. All in all this is an OK model and does show temp differences between objects in the field of view but I would not rely on this unit for accurate temperature readings where it matters. ... show more

  • Great value
I love it. Works exactly as advertised. Easy to use, easy to store and carry. The software is easy to use and has all the great features you wish for. The build quality is excellent. The screen quality is very good and the resolution, even though not very high, is more than adequate.

  • Fantastic product
Fantastic product. That does such a great job showing heat where you can't see it.

  • Easy to use
Probably not the best thermal on the market but in its price bracket I think it's alright. Didn't work for what I needed it for but have since found plenty of other uses for it

  • I received a used item
Item works great but I received a used item that had pictures and items already saved to its memory from July of this year. Nothing was packaged in plastic.

  • Works great!!!
Paid for itself on the first day!.... being able to show customers why the room is hotter than the rest of the house and what needs to be done is priceless... we have been using the companies scope camera for years, so I thought let's give it a go... glad we did.
