    • Uneven heating temperature between top and bottom plates - edited to 5 stars
Very well made, does not feel like cheap materials. Non stick works very well. Unfortunately the heating plates do not get to a uniform temperature, so when making a grilled sandwich, I have to use manual controls instead of the pre-set panini button to account for the 50 degree difference between the plates. Otherwise, the bottom of the sandwich burns while waiting for the top to get toasted. Edited to 5 stars - customer service was great, sending me a new unit since heating element defective. they stand by their product and awesome to work with!!! ... show more

We love this Grill. The ceramic plates come with grill design for paninis, flat for making pancakes, and then a set of waffle plates. Nothing sticks to the surface. We do not use any oils or sprays and waffles drop right out of the waffle plates, as well as pancakes just lift right off of the surface. When we make paninis, any product like hummus that leaks out will carbonize when the lid is closed and left to cool and then the burned material just brushes off of the surface. We also grill vege-burgers using the burger setting for 9 minutes. ... show more

We have only used this as a panini press but it works great. The floating hinge allows for both thick and thin sandwiches. The plates are a quality non-stick and clean up very easy. Breville has been a great brand. We are pleased with the purchase.

The Breville Press heats up quickly and makes excellent Cuban sandwiches with even pressure and browning. The build quality is impressive. I’ve used it regularly for over a year and it’s still holding up great. It’s also easy to clean, which makes using it no hassle. Best sandwich toaster/grill I’ve ever bought. Worth every penny. Has so many settings and temperature options you can cook anything on it: I love that the plates pop out and can be put in the dishwasher. Plates are very non stick which is great and I love that it has an easy to clean drip tray
