Very easy to use. Flashed my 8.1 Vortec in my 03 2500 Yukon. I always run premium because I mostly tow with it so I put the 91 Octane Performance Tune on it right out of the box and I noticed a little quicker sweep through first and second and noticably crisper shifts. There's still adjustability left to further firm the shifts, which I'll play with till I like it. I haven't tried the towing tune yet to comment on that. Very cleanly executed, easy to use and effective product. I'd pay full price for it again for a different platform if I ever change trucks. 10/27/21 update Ive been using this a lot longer now and am even happier. Ive found the shift pressures that Im happy with and I have the ability to reenable the Upshift Torque Management setting when I flash to tow mode. Ive used all the modes and while I didnt notice a significant difference in the fuel milage setting, I do notice performance mode and towing mode. I dont expect fuel milage improvements owning an 8.1. I would like the option of being able to used dial in up to +4 or +5 degrees of timing to fine tune performance mode: but Im pleased with this as a its a daily driver and a tow vehicle. I'd still buy one again.

I bought this to help with fuel economy during the $7/gal diesel fiasco.. I went from 14 mpg to 19 mpg immediately. It basically paid for itself within the first 8 weeks of owning, I burn a ton of diesel. My truck gained big power although, I don't beat on my truck. Towing 10k lbs daily, like it's nothing. I put it in the performance tune for non towing days and I've seen 21 mpg after 6 hours of highway driving. Absolutely zero issues so far, 2 years running. Great investment!! I will say that if your trans has a ton of miles on it, DO NOT floor it on the highway. You will limp the trans in 5th. If that happens, clear the code to reset the system. Then just don't floor it on the highway. Or, smarter option, tune it down a level if you can't manage the urge to floor it lol

This F5 tuner works great on my 2011 Silverado 5.3ltr. I'm not looking for performance as much as AFM/DOD Delete, and shift points, as well as RPM idle adjustment and speed limiter. Fine product, so far. Just had a week.

My 2016 gmc 2500 hd Duramax loves this programmer! I put it in the performance tow mode and it absolutely woke the truck up! Plus my fuel mileage on the freeway it’s unbelievably better.

Purchased the tuner and tried out the 93 octane tune, 87 octane tune. Saw marginal differences in performance. 2 weeks later my driver side power window stopped working. I thought it might be a bad motor or button and was going to look at it later. A couple days later I go for a short drive to the store and get out of the truck and try to remote lock it and no response. Truck was completely non responsive to ignition cycle, remote buttons and any other lock buttons. At this point I thought the truck computer was fried... I came back from the store 20 min later and manually unlocked the truck and all of a sudden it was back to normal. I proceeded to reinstall the stock tune on the truck before it did anything else funny and my power windows started operating normally again! It’s safe to say I will be packaging it up and sending back for a full refund.

Wish it was cheaperJust received this 09/26/2023 for my 2007 suburban and mileage increased 8-10 mpg with performance tuner, 87 octane tune, and mileage savex2 tune. I would recommend for anyone with 5.3 vortec or 6.0. Fast shifting and accelerates without using so much fuel to go
