This pen was very easy to assemble and a great size. We did do additional reinforcement chicken wire around bottom to help predator proof the pen. It comes with a top cover tarp that is pretty good strang tarp that does great job at keeping things dry and cool. We bought the large flat top pen. The only downfall with the flat top is when using the tarp if it rains the tarp will pool water in the middle instead of it running off. We didn't have much for any rain since getting our pen this past spring when we did i would have to go out and push up in center of tarp to remove pool of water. Two weeks ago we had a really bad rainstorm that dumped lots of rain. By the time we made it home the tarp collected so much rain that it collapsed the top of my pen. After speaking with Tom at Bossin about getting parts to replace the bars that were broken. Bossin sent out a whole new pen to replace my current one.     • Tedious to assemble and sort of flimsy

First of all, I bought the version with the larger tubes. Do NOT buy the cheaper version. The bigger pipe is flimsy enough. Buying the smaller diameter tubes is likely to be a disaster. The fame itself is easy to put together. Except for the door and doorframe, it clips together in no time. The door and doorframe are a pain, but if you get a ratchet wrench and bend the metal connectors a bit, it's not that hard. The door could have been designed better -- with both ends clipping together instead of requiring the bottom to be bolted on. But it isn't too hard to assemble. Then the fun begins. You are supplied with a long roll of thin chicken wire. (And when I say thin, I mean it.) It isn't all that hard to put the wire over the frame. But then you have to put on about a million cable ties. (OK, several hundred. It just seems like a million.) And if you are trying to assemble this by yourself, you're in a for a long, hard job. The problem is that you have to insert the cable tie through the wire, have it loop around the pole, and then run back in on itself. If you try to do this with your fingers, they will end up shredded. I got a dental tool with a hook on the end. But this part of the assembly took THREE days. Then, once I had managed to assemble eveything, I realized that the chicken wire is so thin that it won't keep out predators. It will keep in chickens, and (I hope) it will keep hawks out. But mammals will just breeze through this flimsy wire. So I added a role of rabbit fence (at the cost of $45) on the outside. But that only protects three sides. (I wasn't going to pay another $45 to protect 10 feet, if I could help it.) Luckily I had a 10-foot roll of cage wire for the front of the pen. All that being said, my chickens (and I have 16) seem to be happy and they have enough room. My final verdict is that I'd recommend buying it as long as you know what you're getting into. And as long as you realize that the wire they supply is not going to stop predators. To make it predator resistant, you need to add at least $45-$90 to the price. ... show more

My new passion..Chickens, roosters and farm fresh eggs enter this super great coop. With limited yard space it's great to have such a spacious coop that's super easy to move around the yard due to its light weight. Moving the coop allows your chickens to have fresh green grass which provides greens and bugs. All equates to great giant eggs and healthy chicks! I bought this last year. It is just right for keeping chickens enclosed when necessary. It has not broken down or rusted. The chicken wier is a bit flimsy for my taste so I used what came with it to wrap underneath stopping digging preatators and for the roof. I put thicker chicken wire for the few feet off of the ground. The tarp has been torn up in wind storms however that took a year in Kansas winds. Better than I would expect. Putting it together was about as one would expect. A tedious few hours however I did not put it on even or level ground and it still went together just fine. ... show more

First off, I think it is good value for the price. The assembly should have been quick and easy. The problem was after inventorying our parts...our count matched the inventory sheet...we still needed 4 bolts/nuts when we were assembling...which is so doable with a run to the hardware department. The main problem was we were missing some drilled holes....I kept thinking we are doing this wrong but after double checking 3 times we finally had to drill the missing holes. The bolts were too big for the brackets so those had to be drilled out also...or you could just buy all new bolts. Please double check the diagram for how many holes should be on each pole. If you are not handy with a drill, you might want to return it. ... show more

Good for the price. Nice frame for a chicken run. We had to reinforce all the “netting”. It’s a coated chicken wire and we had predictors get in. It was easy enough to assemble. The gate is a little flimsy, but once we covered everything in hard wire cloth it works great!

I orderded this as i wanted a chicken run off of my coop that was a somewhat less permanent set up rather than driving 4x4 posts in the ground and running chicken wire. I read the reviews and knew that i was getting chicken wire with the product that wasnt ideal, so that part falls on me. However, for the price, i would expect all the hardware to be there, more specifically for the door. I shouldnt have to contact the seller and wait another week for missing hardware at the price paid. I needed to get it up, so i improvised and used my own hardware and had to drill holes to make things work. If i could give 2.5 stars i would, but since it fits my needs, and i already knew from other reviews about the included chicken nylon wite, i will give it 3 stars. UPDATE: Seller reached out after seeing my concerns and review and made things right. ... show more
