BAB10 10”powered subwoofer The amount of bass coming from this little thing is impressive, but location and installation is everything. It doesn’t put out that deep, low, breathing bass that a big ported woofer will but it takes up very little space in comparison. My biggest complaint is the mounting hardware, this thing shakes hard, so rubber grommets help reduce panel vibrations along with some sound deadener and padding. I bought two of them and installed one in a 2006 CRV and the other in a 2008 Mustang. When installed in the back of the CRV, it suffers from a massive bass loss for those sitting up front (it still sounds great). In the mustang I think it sounds great and is plenty loud, enough to vibrate the seats with the correct frequencies. This is great for a factory premium audio sound. I would buy one for my truck but the 10” model is no longer available on amazon. I hope they don’t discontinue this because I would only use the 8” model under a seat. ... show more

I have purchased Boss head units, speakers, and amps. Nothing from Boss has lasted, including this under-the-seat speaker/amp combo. To begin with, the sound is terrible, even when it was new. I ended up purchasing a shallow subwoofer, making a custom box to fit under the passenger seat, and wiring it to a small amp I purchased to fit under the driver's seat.     • Perfect sound and fit under my Jeep TJ seat

This is the perfect addition to my Kicker speakers. They sound great and with the addition of the little 8” subwoofer, the overall sound is perfect! I don’t require mirror rattling bass, just enough to feel and get pumped and this thing works perfectly for that. For those of you with a Jeep TJ, you know how hard it can be to find the right speakers, head unit and even sub (6” sub just isn’t enough from the armrest. This sub is what you’re looking for. I turned the lows down to keep the 5.25s from distorting and clipping and put it all on this sub and boom. Instant great sound! I like to drive with the top down and even with road noise…what road noise?!, it sounds great. I don’t care about the brand name. As a matter of fact Boss has been around for 15+ years. They are inexpensive and work perfectly for Jeep owners. I would hate for it to get stolen, but it also wouldn’t hurt the wallet. My Jeep was vandalized a few weeks back and they left my Boss touch screen. Yeah I’m thankful people people find this brand undesirable. This Gen X’er just doesn’t care. If you’ve read this far, get this sub for your small vehicle with no space. Works best under the seat. I don’t think this is made for the trunk as you would get more sound with direct sound placement. ... show more

    • Bumps for some songs

Installed in a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with relative ease. I needed a couple of jump harnesses and chose to go with a RCA line-out converter (LOC). Maybe 3 hours total, to get it installed in my Crosstrek. It definitely improves the sound of the OEM head unit and door speakers, but it if you want that loud bass bump, this one will leave you underwhelmed. It is not super loud, even with the LOC and the remote that comes with the unit turned all the way up. Performance also depends a lot on the actual mix of the song: some songs bump hard and the BAB10 really comes alive; other songs, you can hardly tell that it's there. It's listed as "up to 1200 watts" output, but there's no way it's delivering even close to that in my car. Still happy with it. It's still better than stock. But it's a $120 speaker, so I guess you get what you pay for. ... show more

I don't write reviews unless I really feel the need to. This little thing impressed me. No it's not gonna blow you out of the car but it only took an hour or so to install in my old suburban with factory head unit. I just tapped into the speaker wires and ran a power cable to it (power cable and fuse are not included in the kit by the way) but it sounds great. It's way more powerful than I expected. I just installed though, We'll see how long it holds up but it does seem well built. For an 8" sub I can fit under the seat. I'm very impressed so far. ... show more
