This sun sounds pretty awesome. Especially at the price point of $160ish bucks. Now, I have found that since the enclosed box is only 7 inches thick at its widest point, this bass is a littler tighter sounding than my previous 12 inch Rockford discard enclosed sub in my old car - that one rattled the mirrors a little more. This one vibrates the rear view mirror a little, and I can still feel some bass. For an SUV cab, it’s plenty without hurting my ears and can still slap. I also went with the low-profile enclosure so it doesn’t take up much storage space. Overall a very good subwoofer purchase. I do wish it came with a detachable wire hook-up plug like my old Rockford fosgate did when I needed to remove it for storage space. But I found Scoche sells one for about $20. If you’re looking for a powered sub for under $200, this is a fantastic options ... show more

Haven’t had any issues, I work in parts sales and I already know 99% of electrical issues are user error and not because of the product. This seemed pretty simple to wire especially since the amplifier was built into it.     • Decent for what it is
The media could not be loaded. Unfortunately boss just has a bad rep. They just do not produce quality gear sadly, mainly because of how much they lie about their power output, causing you to end up over working their product and it failing, or it isn’t putting out the sound you would expect from a “1200w” unit.. this amp is supposedly 600rms.. we’ll see, I havnt tried to crank it to hard yet, im also not looking for crazy bass, I drive an extended cab pickup, and this sub was used in a full install, new speakers with their own amp as well, and it is pairing good with them. I went for SQ on a budget with my build not sheer volume, so far I’m satisfied. I mostly went with this product for a space saving all in one unit, not because boss makes quality gear, but it’s sounding pretty decent so far. May not be enough oomf for like an suv or van or something. Don’t put it in the trunk. Sounds good in my pickup though. 7/10 for what it is. *Edit* So after a few months of owning this sub and system, and pushing it all to it limits, I can say, I’m not to surprised it’s not performing. After having this system in I do now want to be louder, and this lil sub can’t hang, running real hot and finally threw itself into protection mode. I personally want more, so I will be upgrading to probably and 12” skar ported, and see if I get more bang there 5/10 now, good for somebody looking to add some bass, will rattle your panels, but nobody will here you coming ... show more
