    • The best garden-hose nozzle, EVER!
I don't think I can ever be as satisfied with another nozzle as much as this one! I know, it's just a nozzle; what could make one nozzle so different from the next??? In the very operation of this nozzle (twisting open and twisting shut) you can just feel the precision quality in the threads, so seemingly such tight tolerances (original definition of tolerance; not current definition!), and the seals are subperb in that when it's closed, IT IS CLOSED! No leaks like the other cheap nozzles you'll get from the "Orange, Blue, or Red hardware stores" It is also as tough as advertised. No regular drop of this nozzle - no matter how long you've owned it - will make it unusable. I haven't run over it yet, but don't think I'll bother trying to do it on purpose. Hopefully if I ever do make the mistake of running it over, my opinion will be unchanged. Now, as for the actual operation of the nozzle; you can close the nozzle in both directions - twist all the way lefty, it's closed! Twist all the way righty, it's closed! And in between the two closed points you have a spray pattern that ranges from a high-powered stream (so much as your water pressure & hose allow for) to a soft, gentle and wide spray or fan-spray. So it's good for watering delicate flowers, watering the yard, washing the car, and getting rid of pesky neighborhood dogs and/or kids! All in one! As for the reviews of folks who say theirs broke - I don't know how they're using it, but I do suggest NOT attempting to over-torque the thing closed. As I said, it has good seals and therefore only needs a gentle twist until the stop to be closed. It's not a cheap valve that requires uber-pounds of torque to be sure is closed. ... show more

I love this nozzle! I’m sick and tired of cheap nozzles that restrict so much water flow. This guy doesn’t restrict, very adjustable, shuts of in both directions and is made of quality aluminum. Finally I can have an aluminum on aluminum connection to avoid corrosion seizure. I’m buying a second for my neighbor. ... show more

Review of Bon-Aire Original Ultimate Aluminum Hose Nozzle (Colors may vary) @ $28.99 at time of order. I’ve tried lots of different types of hose nozzles. I reviewed quite a few before ordering this one. Experience has taught me that the fireman’s type of nozzle, like this one, end up working the best and the longest. I take my hoses/nozzles off the spigots in the winter and usually store them in my garage. That helps some, but this fireman’s nozzle type still seems to hold up best. This one feels really well made. It’s heavy, but not overly. It feels solid and durable. The varying color that I got was most like the one pictured above in the ad. It fit on the hose end without any difficulties. I really like that this twists on and off from either way you twist (2-way shut-off). The documentation on the page says it’s made in China; mine is labeled as made in Taiwan. So, you’re not getting US made here. It claims to have 5 patterns, but it seemed like it was just more variable to me rather than 5 distinct patterns. It works quite well, so far anyway. It’s expensive, but I feel it will be worth it as long as it holds up. Brief instructions come with it for use and cleaning if that becomes necessary to help the flow. And I did use this on the recommended hose size (5/8 inch), so the water flow was very good. The nozzle turned very smoothly too. ... show more

    • The Best part of Your Hose - Here's Why:
As I've written on my other Hose Nozzle Review recently, I have exhausted every Type of Water Nozzle's & Sprayer's, over the last 10 years. From the Brass, to Metal Alloy to Plastic & Resin Units, because I live in a "Hard Water" area, the Typical "TRIGGER-Type" Metal/Brass/Alloy Nozzle & Sprayers all will seize, rust & Crack within 6 months or less. It's very frustrating, time consuming and eventually, you always end up searching elsewhere for options. With the 2011 Spring & Summer Seasons ... which is basically 'year-around' in Hawaii ... your have ample opportunity to built or re-model your Home or Community Garden, and you have to have Functioning Equipment, and there's nothing to cut into your day or weekend, when you are faced with equipment failure ... it takes the fun out of the day, and then to make yet another trip to the SAME CHAIN or HARDWARE STORES, to purchase the very SAME Thing, over and over, get's a little redundant. This year I decided to shop on Amazon instead, and start the process of replacing some of the same, tired Garden equipment, hence, the Bon-aire product. Here's my initial review after a month of use ... and I will re-visit for an Update in about 6 months, to test the longevity of Bon-Aire Products, as well as , others that I am also using at the moment. * Quality - it's engineered and made from aluminum, stainless steel and high-grade fiberglass. If you have read any of my Product Reviews, you will already know that I ONLY prefer to purchase High-Quality, and on first impression, this Hose Nozzle appears well- engineered. * Built - Appears to be of a Heavy-Duty "Fire-hose" nozzle construction * Ergonomics - comfort-grip soft rubber, multifunctional spray nozzle has a bi-directional, patented 2-way Shut-off head feature. * Function - Marketed as having a 5-pattern spray nozzle. NOTE - This 5-pattern spray capability is ONLY obvious if you have a HIGH-PRESSURE Home Water System. If you don't, then you WILL be disappointed, by a weak stream, so on one of the properties, I make sure that all Outdoor faucets are turned-off, BEFORE, I use it. You WILL Notice that It DOES Move a large amount of Water through it! TIP - I take it off after each use, so to make sure that our "corrosive" water is not in contact with it, all the time.
