I decided to get this lovely printer so I could save time getting rid of personal stuff. It worked perfectly. A little on the noisy side, but my cat quickly adjusted. It made short order of a stack of papers. I like the fact that it can shred cd's, plastic cards and 8 sheets of paper at a time. This shredder is priced well and it seems well made. If I had a fireplace, wood burner or even an outside fire pit, the shreds would make a good fire starter. It didn't get stuck and just ran a little slower with more shredables. I consider it a logical purchase.

This shredder is perfect for any space! It’s compact, lightweight, and easy to move around - ideal if you need something portable. Despite its size, it handles up to 8 sheets with ease and works efficiently. One of my favorite features is that you don’t have to transfer the shredded paper from the container to a trash bag - you can place the shredder over the trash can and shred away. Easy quick mess free disposal. For the performance and convenience it offers, the price is just right. A great little machine for anytime shredding needs!

Got this to speed things up a bit, and it does seem to do the job. Not as powerful or fast as I thought it might be, it is about the same speed as the 20 year old model I have but it does not jam up, so that is a help. It is a good basic shredder for home office use, and works good for that!

This shredder is perfect for catching up on shredding materials. It does get warm and stops when it’s necessary for a cool down. To be fair, I was shedding 10 years of taxes and 5 years of documents no longer needed. The speed was quick and the noise level nominal.

this Amazon Basics Shredder offers too many options: 8-Sheet Strip Cut Paper, CD, and Credit Card Shredder. I've tried to cut a Credit Card but it goes strugglingly. I bought this for its simplicity: only the shredder, no barrel, low price. It cuts well, but no cross-cut so the barrel will be full in a very short time. I don't need Credit Card cuts, but I need the cross-cut, it's very important to shredd your identity. That's why I give only 3 stars.
