I've used Bodyblades off and on in physical therapy over the last 10 years and finally broke down and bought one for home use. The Bodyblade is easy to use and provides great benefits in core strengthening with the added benefit of toning the arms and shoulders in the process. A quick workout of 3-5 minutes a day can provide great benefits. A greater commitment could probably extend the benefit but I've never tried that. In my experience using the Bodyblade three times a week starts to show visible results in the arms and shoulders after two weeks. The results in the core are less visible but every bit as real. Using a good mix of 4 or 5 of the exercises (there are dozens shown in the accompanying poster) suggested in 2-3 sets of 20-30 seconds will give an injection of progress to your other core strengthening exercises. If you've hit a wall with leg lifts and crunches this will break you through it. If you're just starting out with an all around program your progress will be faster and more consistent. This review is based on 2 years personal experience using the Bodyblade for my personal physical therapy. I injured my shoulder and alwas diagnosed with carpel tunnle and it has been essential for my recovery these last 2 years. After using the Bodyblade Pro Kit for a full two years, the performance and durability have been excellent, but the pricing has been a real disappointment. The tool itself holds up extremely well with regular use, helps activate deep core and stabilizer muscles, and is compact enough to store easily at home. It has become a reliable part of my routine for quick, effective workouts without stressing my rehabiltated joints. Even after 2 years of use at 5 days a week it still looks the same as it did day 1. What frustrates me is that in all this time, the price has never budged—no meaningful discounts during holidays, no special promotions, nothing. Even after waiting through multiple sales seasons, the cost stayed locked in at the same point, leaving me with no realistic option to purchase a second one for another room or family member. For the quality and results, the product itself is solid, but the lack of price flexibility makes it hard to fully recommend if you are hoping to catch a deal or expand your setup over time. ... show more

I recently became the owner of the original body blade. And it is very nice. I bought the pro model as an incentive to motivate myself to move up to the pro. I would not buy the pro unit if you are a beginner user of the body blade. But I know for sure that I can work myself up to this one, which is Decently bigger than the original. And it will give you a much more intense work out than the original. The body blade quality is there. In the charts that come with it are very very helpful. ... show more

I must admit that I was skeptical about making this purchase. But since I was in bad shape and suffering from extreme tendinitis in my right elbow, I had to breakdown and give this thing a try. Well from the July 1st to today July 28 my tendinitis has really almost disappeared. The exercises with this blade helped to get my mind & body in rhythm to strengthen the joints, tendons, & ligaments but also & most importantly my muscles. My muscle tone is so much better & I feel so much stronger. I also recommend using Comfrey Oil that’s sold right here on Amazon. My pain levels were receding back in less than 48 after using Comfrey Oil. Note: I also have Plantar Fasciitis but Comfrey Oil couldn’t work on that. And my pain levels for my left foot was unbearable. So I got some medication from my doctor for the pain and started wearing a boot at night. I’m in a much better place now.     • Vibration and Inertia Training original - costly compared to Classic

I believe Body Blade got the whole vibration and inertia training phenomena started and it is a fascinating workout routine once you master the equipment and review the concept that gave birth to the design. I've compared the Body Blade to the Total Bar already. If you're interested go to the Total Bar review posted 9/22/14. I have both the Classic and the Pro. The Pro is one foot longer at 5 feet. Its heavier and thicker and requires more input from the user to exercise with it. I like the DVD that comes with the Classic. It has several 10 minute workouts that me and my wife perform in our home gym. The Pro comes with a DVD that is a bit dated and not as useful. I like both the Classic and Pro. The larger Pro may be well suited for someone with a better than average fitness level while the Classic would be my choice for beginners or someone who is smaller in stature. Don't misunderstand, you can get the Classic moving and burn some serious calories, but the Pro requires a bit more strength and agility so I feel that will be my primary and I'll use the Classic as a warm up, when I'm not up to the increased demands from the Pro, or when I'm working out to the DVD with my wife who uses the Classic. I paid more than twice as much for the Pro as I did for the Classic (got it for $77 on QVC). I think it is overpriced at $159 but I like using it in addition to the Classic. ... show more

I'm impressed! I have a shoulder tear that is worsened by doing any modification of push-up or pull-up. I was doing P Therapy exercised with the rubber weight bands but again it seemed to make my shoulder worse. The BodyBlade videos are good and you should watch them. BodyBlade's exercises are indeed different - they have a very limited range of motion - like <2 inches but it will still exercise the muscles because of the rapid pulsing of the BB. The idea being to power the pulse with the lower body. With the BB Pro I can do a standing push-up motion for a little more than a minute; likewise for, the pull-up motion and all kinds of one and two handed variations. All without aggravating my shoulder tear! I agree w/ those who said the BB Classic is the best choice for most people and the CxT is best for P Therapy and elderly folks. Most non-athletes would find doing 5-6 exercises for one minute each posture a challenge. Start with the BB Classic so you can get through a set of exercises without gassing out. ... show more
